Which PCP

I have HW100T and HW100KS.....and a (currently) poorly AA (my fault).....for me the HW's win over, but not by much. You can’t make a bad choice between the two really.

I just bought my first PCP a Rti Preist 2, I'd been scouring Guntrader/star for awhile and the Rti came up 5 minutes from me, so took it as a sign 🤷‍♂️:)

I have an s410 along with a friend who also has one, brilliant gun very reliable and a joy to own. I have only shot the 100s at a target range never owned one. Personally my opinion is both are great guns but I feel the s410 is better suited for me. It's lighter and feels better in my hands but I also do ratting and hunting. But I very much doubt you would regret either of them, especially if it's for targets.

I hope you can decide and good luck with whatever you purchase.

Looking to add a PCP to the collection, after lots of you tubing and reading i’ve narrowed it down to a heart or head discussion

My head says HW100T, great gun, can’t load multiple pellets in barrel, great looking gun and well favoured by many but my heart is saying old school bolt action S410. Very good reliability record, great brand and less expensive, can buy one + filling cylinder etc for the same price of a HW100, Ahhh the torment
Eliminate the torment - - buy both. ;)

I have the HW 100 not tried the Air Arms but my experience with the HW 100 is not a good one so just on this basis I would go for the air arms

Believe it or not I'm in the same boat at the moment and torn between a few, a difficult decision to be in right now although a good one too at the same time?

Both are genuinely great - the biggest thing is really what you prefer the look and feel of. If it is between the two for target shooting, I would go for the HW100. This is purely down to the magazine mechanism being better. If you weren't adverse to the single shot, I would suggest a HFT 500, but if you want magazine fed go for the HW100

I went into the RFD knowing I wanted a HW100 and when I handled it, I just did not like the feel.

I tried the 510 and it just felt better and I liked the side lever. The dealer said to me, hunting the HW and targets the AA which confirmed to me at the time, the 510 was best suited to me so I took it home and unfortunately it developed a fault two weeks later.

Whilst it went back to be replaced/repaired under warranty I did a lot of extra research, it had been several days and the frustration grew and I had a moment of "I no longer want it back" I was within my 30 days so I could refuse the repair.

I told the store I didn't want it back, instead I had a refund and put it towards a HFT 500 - After two weeks of loading a magazine (it came with three) and then feeling frustrated when the three ran out I thought what the hell, single loader who cares.

I would always go for a single loader now, my wife has a Walther Reign MK2 and I just find it satisfying and simple to pop a single pellet in between shots.

Target shooting you really should consider the HFT 500

I too want to eventually own a springer and for that, I will be getting a HW

I have an s400 and a hw100. I prefer the lever action on the hw over the bolt on the 400.
They are both equally (in)accurate.
The hw also has higher shot count per fill.

Well, hours of research well into the night - decision made and new gun day sometime this week, only been a few weeks since I bought my 97K which is being dropped off to Lyndon at ARC tomorrow for tuning so off to buy another one, decided I want a springer (which I have) a bolt action and a side action PCP then I will be sorted, watch this space for the grand reveal) this is getting an expensive hobby lol

After owning a bolt action Daystate Huntsman, then buying a side lever Revere, I would never go back to the bolt. It's tiring to wrestle with the bolt and have to use two hands and disturb your shooting position. Therefore, I recommend a side lever such as the S510 or Revere. The 510 is nice because you can adjust the power level by turning a knob on the side of the gun.

You won't go far wrong with either the 100 or the airarms offerings , my advice is go into a shop and handle them both scoped up and see which one feels better for you .

Well I decided, went for the HW100, mainly as you cant double load it, simple magazines and you load from the right so doesnt interfere with the parallax wheel. Happy with the decision but................................................ Still want a bolt action S410 at some time then I will have a side lever, bolt action and my trusty springer 97 so all types I want covered :)
