What have you made.. altered.. or added

Very inventive. I like the way it provides the function without increasing the pull length very much.

Made a top third sun blocker out of flip up covers. Experimented with insulting tape as recommended here and worked so made this.

I posted this the other day because I didn’t realise this thread existed, but I cobbled together a DIY butt rest from a pair of AliExpress cheap deals (a rifle saddle clamp & a mini lab jack). Surprisingly solid despite its janky appearance, vertical movement is smooth & stable - for about £15, I’m happy 👍

I use one of those under my laser level when I'm doing a bit of tile battoning.

A busy few days in the 'shop resulting in good progress on the latest project. The main tube is well on it's way. The plenum end contains an adjustable valve spring mount. The stainless hammer goes in the other half, again adjustable. The two pieces screw together with a double O ring seal. The screwcutting can be quite challenging but is made a little easier using the function built in to the electronic leadscrew conversion on the lathe. You input the pitch and length of thread required then the "in" and "out" movements are on push buttons. It even compensates for backlash. You don't have to reverse the chuck at all. The system can figure out the orientation of the workpiece and start the cut at the exact right time. The same facility was used on the drop-block.

Wow, top job ❤️

Well...bit of all of the above....."I've" (😂) altered, added and made stuff for my 2250 HPA bottle conversion, with 'some' help from the Gent that is Hal in't Fax, who kindly milled (altered) me a slot in the main tube, and (made) machined a new hammer and hammer pin, so that I could swap out the standard breech to a 10 pellet magazine/ multi-shot breech (added), and a barrel re-crown for good measure (altered), along with making some nice little gauge covers to tidy them up. Swapped (altered) the standard stock for Bob P stock, which really sets it off and it just wouldn't be complete without a Voldemort back-vented mod and shroud (made, altered, added😂😂😂)......Super quiet, accurate, smooth and lightweight....another ideal little ratting tool.

Evening all. Good progress in the last few days. The main receiver block is coming along and the transfer port is done. The barrel is fitted as is the pellet probe. Thankfully, everything seems to line up nicely and the assembly sits well in the stock. I'm putting together designs for the trigger mechanism and the side lever arrangement. I put it all together for a quick pic.

Some quick wood work. My daughter got interested in shooting pistols and since she's lefty the Tempest with it's safety clip and molded grips doesn't quite work for her. Out comes some wood from firewood bin, remove the safety, a bit of wood work and some Finnish army rifle stock oil. Purely functional thing but it actually improved my shooting quite a lot not to mention my daughter being able to use the gun.

Today I made myself a little tool to safely and gently empty the air bottles on my Daystate and BRK air rifles via the Foster fill port without having to undo the fill port Foster connection or unscrew the bottle or dry fire endlessly to release the compressed air.

I fully admit that I stole the idea from the Bagnall & Kirkwood offering that I saw on one of their videos. "The safe way to de-gas your rifle and saves a massive amount of time and effort on rifles with a fixed cylinder or bottle. Especially useful on rifles fitted with a regulator such as Wolverine R (or custom reg fits to other rifles) as saves hours of dry firing or risking damaging the block with other de-pressure methods, when required to adjust regulator pressure. Fits any of the rifles that use the foster connection."

It’s been a busy day, but some springs arrived to fix my crappy shotgun that I got a week or two back. That is now cycling properly, though still pointless!
I have also carried on with the 3d printing madness, today’s job was to make some back up irons. I printed two and can’t decide which to use?😁
