A old school Jones & Shipman tool holder that fits my Boxford lathe arrived later this afternoon its like new I don't think its been used.

and the other day I got this Rohm Live center for a mere £23 inc post, retail price around £480 now 🤣

So you can extract it without bashing it out the back , not sure I will need the nut though if using a drive plate etc because it won't fit on with the nut.
I was just thinking that. Good idea. Why would you use it in the head stock?
 
Other than buying a lump of ali yesterday to complete a project for a mates grandson, I haven't spent lately after getting carried away when Arc Euro closed a while back. The Barclaycard took a hit about three times in one week, but a case of grab it while you can.

Can I ask what power source you are using to run the lathe ? I thought these were 3 phase motors .
