I've been having a bit of a spring gun day today and struck a deal with a friend for an old Webley Tempest in .22cal. It came in what's left of its original box complete with the instruction leaflet and the parts diagram under the lid. It's not in mint condition but given that I reckon it's probably 40ish years old, it's in pretty good shape. The writing on the side of the forend has all but worn away and the blueing on the barrel looks a little dull but a quick wipe over with some GT85 on a cloth lifted it a bit though. The age is a guess based on the condition and yellowing of the paper bits.
At 10 yards in the garden this afternoon it was bashing tin cans nicely and with a bit of practice I was grouping shots within a 3in circle (mostly).
I haven't owned one of these since I was a kid so there's definitely a nostalgia hit going on.
