Looking to try some different pellets and looking at Umarex.

I'm aware they are the US distributor for RWS does that mean RWS also make the Umarex branded pellets?

Also does anyone have any experience with Umarex pellets good or bad?

Umarex used to do some in red and blue tins and they were great out of my mates S410.They got discontinued .

Some of the Umarex pellets may be RWS but not all especially these .

Umarex is no longer the US distributor for RWS, haven't been for several years now and had a big sell off a few years back of all the RWS badged Diana rifles they used to carry.
These days it's a company called Blue Line Distributors.

These were bought in January 2023 after seeing a recommendation for them, I later found out that they used to be a good pellet but the supplier had changed and this rubbish was the result.

Cheers

I agree. I bought a few tins and ended up using them as ballast on a CO2 replica FAL!

Thanks guys I'll stick with RWS then as they look terrible!

Accupells any good?

We manufactured the Cobra and Mosquito for UMAREX until the end of 2021. We do not know where they are coming from now.

That explains why they used to have a good reputation.

Whoever makes them now should be closed down!
It makes you wonder about the Umarex's quality control if they thought thes were OK, you only need to open the tin to see they are rubbish.

Still got a full unused tin of those in the red and blue tin. Had two tins but found they were okay for plinking but not for precision shooting so gave the opened part used tin away.

They were as good as the AA pellets my mate used and shot well with my Theoben Evolution.

Like a lot of pellets , they will work well in some barrels but not others .

My Theoben likes RWS Superpoint Extra but when you mention pointed pellets on here you will be told to steer clear of them which may be good advice for some but not all . There has been a few others on here who have said the RWS Superpoints Extra were good for them.

My advice , Try them if you can get a sample and see if they work in your barrel before taking what others found out of their rifle .

Just to add as I wasn't clear in my first post, these will only be used for plinking/target with rifle up to 25m and pistol up to 10m. I'm fine with the Hobbies but just wanted another similar wad cutter type that was around 11-13 grains. I'd have gone for the Econs but don't think they do them in .22 as I can't find any in that calibre.

Accupels (crosman 7.9s) can be very good. They were excellent in my S200 (best pellet in that rifle) and one out of two krals. Also good in my HW99 and 30.

Thanks Frog was looking at the Accupels👍

We are currently working on Econ II in .22

I've had good results with the cheaper h&n pellets especially the excite hammer. Not wad cutters though but very well made considering the price
