Seems mixed feedback on Stalking Directory, after a few gongs for use with the .22lr Semi Auto as it’s shredding target boards at an alarming rate.

How long does delivery take realistically? Any issues with quality?

I can't talk about targets, but their feeders are built like tanks, the engineering seems, er, battleship, will outlive me.
Delivery was a few days, but that was when they had a rush on (due to offer).

Our local shop has a few of Toms Target gongs in stock, they seem to be great quality & very well made. Can't comment on delivery though.

Toms targets very good. have a few varieties and do last using the hardox steel. the website usually has a few discounts for 22lr gongs so worth keeping an eye out.
delivery was pretty quick ( a few days).

I've got 4 gongs....two large circle, one small circle and one fox head. Wouldn't be without them, all hardox.

Interesting.
The owner of a farm, where we rent ground for our pheasant shoot, has a round Toms Target gong. He shoots it with his HMR.
In conversation he asked about my rifles, as he had been introduced to a .308 elsewhere, and was interested in my .243. So I turned up one Sunday afternoon, with said rifle and a number of 70 grain ballistic tip rounds. After checking zero on paper, I let him have a go at his gong. No range finder with me, but certainly 150yds.
To say he has never shot a centrefire, he printed a cracking little 5 shot group on his gong. Watching through the bino's I was impressed with the lead splatter.

Now here is the big But?
On examining the gong. The back wasn't pushed out, but without doubt the front is dented. Is this normal?

Ive 15 of his targets ranging from the 1" to the 12" circles all in the ar500 steel, ive shot them with 100's of rounds with various calibres including my 308 with no notable damage to worry about.
Im sure it says not to use centrefires on them under 100yrds on the website?
Id highly recommend and I'll probably be buying more in the future.

I’ve popped an order in for a 2”, 3”, 4”, 5” gongs along with one double hook post and 2 single hook posts…. Just hoping the arrive by Friday as I’ve read a few complaints about extended / delayed delivery times.

Seems spot on so far, the white ones are rimfire and the 2” red are fullbore hardox

Smacked them around with the 90ft/lb .25 and they’re spot on

Seems to be the faster the projectile the heavier the damage. So a 60 grainer out of a 243 may do more damage than a 180 grain 308. Likewise a 55 grain out of a 220 swift will be devastating!

The chap who owns the gong wasn't upset. I did wonder if I should try my 100gn loads to see if there is a difference. Along with my .223, but they are light and very fast.

I bit the bullet sunday and ordered their pellet catcher and some other targets order confirmed Monday morning tracking info sent Monday afternoon confirmed delivery between noon and 2pm today by DHL.
I am expecting very high quality items when they arrive.

They do caveat their products about minimum distances related to calibre. I've got a fair few on a 200m zeroing area that I use .25 FAC through to .308 on. Had no issues. Got gongs at 50 75 100 125 150 175 and 200. The ones to 100 get some hammer and have shot the .308 at the 75 and no damage.

My mate uses them extensively for deer stalking training and at his commercial range too - and no issues either.

As a product - pretty good. Worth getting the gong stands over the chains too.

I’ve just spoken to them and they’ve said they are expecting a delivery tomorrow AM that should have a couple of items needed to complete my order and they’ll honour tomorrow for next day delivery Friday…. We shall see.

My orders arrived and I,m pretty impressed.
Imagine better than any run of the mill stuff that you can order online or buy from mainstream suppliers.
The 3mm stuff I've ordered looks more than up to the job. Not as thick as the @hairyarms targets i have but considerably more substantial than all of the other target holders I have bought.
Unpainted but clean and coated with oil so next job will be out with the cleaner and paint brush.
