Todays 15yd diopter efforts

It's the basic Anschutz 9015 club with the supplied sights , on a Dolphin Trakker bipod and I use a caldwell bag and my hand on the butt, I have left hand dexterity issues and shakes, the bag dampens them out20240510_133742.webp20240510_133725.webp

I might use a different pellet today . i have a funny feeling the QYS are a little to hard .
that might sound a strange thing to say but i mix engineering with shooting .

Heres what im thinking . With harder lead pellets if there is any discrepancy in the pellet dimensions ie skirt pellet head size the rifle drive pressure can not change it . (the head size is smaller less drag) (And loose ish skirt will not expand as much )
So the fps and the stroke cycle will change more from shot to shot

Where as a softer pellet the rifle has more chance of expanding the skirt . this will make the pellet drag a bit more stable and stabilize the cycle a bit better .

So today im thinking JSB 10.34's will be interesting to see what happens.

@1260engineer is a special case, I bet he could do high 240s on a rotating target in the wind..... oh, he has!🤦🏼‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ive shot 8 cards this afternoon minimum score was 237 . Marks been doing counting. one i got 6 X's . my 97 being what it is . is no target rifle thats for sure at 11.2fpe it kicks like a bloody donkey . its interesting though developing and fine tuning my hold and working with a 4x12x50 scope .
this afternoon ive been working on the 1st to 2nd stage of the trigger. the stop as you come on to the second stage was a bit heavy to squeeze through . i was getting a slight lead off target which was playing havoc with my wind adjustments

Had quite a bit of swirling going on . not the best conditions to play in .
