Is that it never pans out how you want it to even when the foxing gods are in your favor 😏

Over the last 6 weeks ive been out a few times trying to catch up with some local foxes who by this time should be up and out with there cubs, last year I went through a spell where i was knocking over a lot of cubs before tackling the parents, thining them out now is easier and more productive for me so with everything in my favor, the weather, the wind ,rifle on the money I blanked each time I went out so ended up dusting of some Rabbits and some pigeons, pigeons were shot pre foxing😉20260612_194346.webp

Then last time i was out the stars aligned and the foxing gods granted me the chance on four foxes, all taken nice and cleanly with the .22-250 shooting 50gr vmax.

Now the crops are coming down and the playing fields are open its time to really get to work on the local rabbit population and thin out more foxes.

Will be setting the HMR up with the zulus V2 and the .22-250 will go full thermal with a 75mm MT1000LRF ontop

Operation crop clearance is now on💥

Back in the day We used to always say "no plan survives contact with the Enemy" but in this case it just all went wrong until it went right👍 patience pays off eventually

Cheers mate, mines a 1-14 twist aswell, ive not fed it anything other than 50gr vmax.....but i want to try some 50gr sierra blitzkings as ive had great results with 55gr's in my .223

personally i don't reload either my .22-250 or my .308 as i don't use enough to make it viable for the type and frequency that i shoot.
if i was a club target shooter it probably would be.
i do have a shed load of once fired brass though in Hornady in Sako😁

It can be expensive feeding centerfire rifles, i reload and shoot enough to warrant the initial outlay on reloading gear to make it worthwhile, but equally I can get more accurate groups from my reloads vs factory ammo.......and i enjoy reloading, it puts my mind into a place where im focused on one thing and I enjoy the process, and the results at the end

Definitely worth reloading if a club member!
Sako brass is good, if you ever want rid of it give me a shout😉
