Have your trains been on YouTube? I'm sure I saw a video of a garden layout.

Can anyone recommend a good lipo charger that doesn’t cost the earth, please?
I use one of these. Can anyone recommend a good lipo charger that doesn’t cost the earth, please?
Are you the gentleman that I can say 'I told you so' to?Well, I’ve had a 1/18 TRX-4M delivered…
It is small-small, and looks really fiddly to work on. I definitely won’t be dabbling with anything smaller, and this may get returned yet.
Starting to wish I’d gone straight to 1/10.

Wow they are impressive. The Beyer-Garratt is r/c live steam gas-fired - scale is 16mm to the foot - 1/19th if you're picky. It's modelled on #130, one of five similar locos that runs on the Welsh Highland Railway from Porthmadog to Caernarvon in North Wales. Since I have 45mm gauge track for everything I run, the wheels are currently spaced for that gauge - normally it would run on 32mm gauge track. Look up the 16mm association or watch thousands of it on YT.
The next one down is ethanol-fired, Gauge 1 live steam, 1/32nd scale, manually-controlled - made by Aster in 1982, it's the preserved Deutsche Bundesbahn Br 01 Pacific express passenger loco. Here it is running at Ruddington track a few years back -
The bottom loco is also Gauge 1, but is gas-fired live-steam and radio-controlled - the S3/6 express loco of the Royal Bavarian State Railway of ca.1910. Lots of it on YT.
This odd-looking device is a Shay logging loco, used in the vast forest industry of North America - this one is scale 1/20.3, so the that the 45mm gauge track represents the usual 3ft gauge of these lines -

Lastly is my Gauge 1 Accucraft Canadian Pacific 'Royal Hudson' #2860. The prototype hauled Their Majesties on the Royal Train from Tronna to Vanvouver back in 1939 -

In action - the entire passenger car set of the GN 'Empire Builder' train was scratch-built by fellow Gauger 1-er Mike Smith. The observation car - last in the train - has a mosaic dance floor adjacent to the vestibule, copied from the full-size real thing...
Got lots more, too, mostly Welsh narrow gauge. Some is r/c and some ain't.
Take a look at ftx crawlers. Good for the money and I think come with a lipo and basic charger. My Carnage did anyway.I am indeedI couldn’t remember who to tag in my post! Having tried it out over some household obstacles, I’m actually pretty impressed with the capability of the little TRX-4M so I think it’ll stay, but can see a 1/10 in my future…
I covered the cost of this (and a few select upgrades) by selling off some unused stuff, so it feels free, but I wouldn’t want to be into one for £300 - £400 like a lot of people seem to be, that’s just mad in my book.
Take a look at the Tamiya Sand Scorcher. Beetle buggy. Might get myself one. That or a Frog.Haven't had much time to work on the lunchbox (my first RC car) what with work this week . I did manage to order a few extra parts for it so hopefully I'll get a bit done over the weekend.
Saw a very cool looking drag race/hot rod type Beetle on YouTube too so I'm already planning another build. Thinking of doing a brushless Tamiya Sand Viper, but with a beetle shell and big wide racing slicks.
I know the modern traxxas etc are better, but for me building the thing is half the fun.
Just remember this charger is only 1000ma. Say you have a 3000mah battery it would take 3 hours. If you buy a more dedicated charger you can charge at 3000mah which would take an hour.View attachment 817553Several versions on Amazon up to 3 cell same as Daystates version should be under £20 Just make sure you connect with the power off.
