Target ranges near Newcastle upon tyne

Last I looked, Swarland wasn't in the same county as Newcastle....so a bit of a generalisation; and some cracking insight into OPs travel arrangements too....

For a range IN Newcastle, not too far from Byker check with the Bagnall & Kirkwood shop. Their new premises has an on-site airgun range, but not sure how close to being "open" it is. Last time I was in Alan was telling me about the issues (delays) with contractors
 
I thought Bagnall and Kirkwood were putting a range behind their new premises in Rothbury Terrace? True, false, what's the deal?

Considering it's only approx 16 miles up the A1 and relatively easy to get too.
Take it you know the OPs travel arrangements then?

Its a little further out, but there's a relatively new range through dalton park/murton way on ... Watergate its not bad its still a little rough and ready but its a good long 100yds-ish range and has lots of spinner targets on posts. The shooting line is a covered booth, there's not many facilities. However I was talking to the owner a few weeks back and he mentioned about building a cafe and shop eventually
