Snowpeak ap900 looks nice for the money

There is that option of course, just be aware that if you accidentally hit the valve pin you could be in for one hell of a blast of air through the transfer port.
Personally I’d always drain the air, better safe than sorry is my motto.
There really is no need to drain the cylinder of air Rob, as the valve assembly and cylinder come out as one unit. Safe as houses.
Next you will be telling me to deflate my car tyre before changing the wheel. !! :giggle:
Pete.

Followed this from the start and thanks for all the input, I’m tempted but not sure why ?
Don’t need one, but there’s something about it probably because it’s tinkerable ( I’ll strip a springer but never tinkered with PCPs) or is it an answer to my .25 itch (when they arrive)
2 mates have them in .22 I’ve tried one and and it was ok, trigger was so so, cocking a little harsh but hey ho it’s cheap and accurate enough for him out to 40 yds.
Then I compare against say a Puncher K, similar price…. Ok no reg but I can manage that, Walnut stock, a trigger which punches ( no pun intended) well above its price. And very accurate…. Great after sales ( from my RFD)….. think I’ll say with Kral
You pays your money and takes your choice,

Without delving into the symantics or numerical value of the word 'swell', 25% of people who participated believe that option to be the case which is a significant proportion of the voters.
It is what might be described as a significant minority.

Is there anyone making a rotating cylinder end cap yet to replace the original pull out one as I'd buy one to save needing to remove my custom mod to refill the cylinder?

My 70cm ali express bag arrived today, fits fine even with scope wheel fitted.

Mine didn't come with one. If it had, I'd have took it off anyway. The 900 is all about manoeuvrability, lightness and compactness. Dressing them up with bipods, butt hooks, different stocks, massive scopes, huge mods.etc etc. It's a practical tool of a gun. Leave it alone.
There, my dummy has been spat out.
Psssttt, wanna see something really usefull that you can strap onto your pot noodle? Check this pic mounted torch out.
Ali express, of course and cheaper than IR. (£21) and perfect when Roland is hiding under the garden shed.

Actually got to see one today for the first time, BJS & i went to Vector air, & a customer before us was buying the last one they had(in .22) he was saying he already had one in 177.
However they had a demo one, that we were able to handle, we both liked it, & excellent value for money

Airing ( pun intended ) 😏 on the side of caution my personal preference is to empty the cylinder just to be sure that if I do accidentally hit the valve pin on anything I’m not going to get my eye taken out 😁

I've got a quick question about the RIT DYE process...

I have the powder, a container to complete the process in but looking online a little confused.

From what I understand..

1. Make the powder into a liquid concentrate

2. Fill the container with water

3. Add the Dye Concentrate to the water until the desired colour is reached

** 4. The confused stage, Instructions say add vinegar or salt online people say add washing detergent/liquid**

Do I need to add anything to the RIT DYE to colour the plastic if I do it on the hob??

Thank you all

I do it with very hot water & plenty of Salt, works for me no probs that way 👍

Has anyone tried .177 slugs through one yet? The shorter barrel and light/lack of a choke might make this interesting ?

Hello AGF!

Well after a mess about at the range, my .25 seems to like spitting out JTS Dead Centres 33.80g.
Fair bit of wind at the range but confident of 1” groups at 20/25yrds.

Cocking was sticky at times, as was the trigger, sometimes the second stage didn’t exist! Sometimes it did!!

After zeroing with standard scope I got set up on my Zulus and seems fairly consistent but may have to tweak BC of the pellet as I struggled to get a confirmed BC online.

Seemed to do plenty of mags per fill, didn’t count but it had to be 6/7 mags. Deffo dropped off at around 120bar.

Once the Zulus was on I couldn’t get get a mag in so this may be a problem unless a decent SSL will fit.

Chrono’d spread of 4FPS. Not bad for straight out the box?

I will definitely look at sweetening the trigger with that lighter spring I have. Wondering if to use lighter hammer spring combined with the tp port set to try balance things a bit better. Any one with any advise feel free to DM.

Here’s the shot string.

I couldn’t trust the mod/shroud set up it was sending pellets all over as it was in my previous testing. I removed the shroud and all the baffles
In the silencer leaving an empty mod and it wasn’t consistent enough so don’t know what’s going on there. No clippings?

I am confident this can be made into an excellent tool and to be honest I’ll enjoy the journey sweetening things up!

Anyone with any pointers feel free to reach out!

Cheers!

Thank you for the response I'll ensure to grab a tub when doing it, how long do you leave it for and do you keep the heat on or allow water to cool?
Water just off the boil, then i add plenty of Salt, about 250grm to a small dipping tray i use & then stir it all to dissolve & i place the item in the tub & just leave it, till the water cools down on its own & then lift out & allow to drip dry, while being hung up 👍

My trigger did that after I fiddled with it , even jammed it … so I defiddled to where I started then didn’t fiddle so much and now it’s perfect. Also ( obviously) the longer barrel of the 1000 makes quite a difference reference power and shot count I see from your findings ,with my 1000 doing 11.99 ftlbs with 30.86 barracuda’s. 418.2 fps. 19.9gn ftt’s achieve 510fps, 11.50 ftlbs .
I bloody love this .25 calibre and this rifle. May get another in .177 with bottle if I go for the shorter 900.
The choice of ammo for .25 with the huge variation with pellet weights makes the calibre much more viable these day I believe. And importantly, fun! .
