Single shot loaders for various rifles, more loaders added regularly - Excellent reviews on the AGF

Picked up three SSL’s last night for my Rapid’s. I have tried the .177 and .22 but the .20 is work in progress as the barrel is still in blank form! They are nicely made, fit well and work well. Thanks Jon. View attachment 731116
Thanks a lot Dave, glad you like them, I'm always a bit nervous when I put the first few of a new product out there, but they were well tested and revised with the help of the wonderful @1260engineer

Good to meet you buddy

Wanted a SSL for my Vixen .177
Read good things about Jon,s items.
After comms with Jon decided to get a SSL for my BSA R10 also. The original BSA item although nicely made has no oring retaining the pellet!
Ordered sunday arrived wednesday! Quality is fantastic and design top notch.
Will get back after use, expect no issues.

Cheers bud, glad you like them, and yeah, let me know how you get on mate ;)

Way back in post #30, I asked about a loader for a Steyr LG110. I've just come up with an idea, but it's a bit complicated to describe. I have some low melting point plastic lying around here, so I will try to get some kind of prototype together and get some pictures posted.
Not working right now. Can't seem to find a shape for the "probe" part that will hold a pellet and still insert it into the barrel. I may buy one of those loaders I saw on Amazon to see what they look like in detail, and how well they hold a pellet....

Feel free to bounce any ideas you want off me bud, always happy to have a look at creating stuff ;)

What I'm thinking of now (my first idea was a bit of a non-starter) is to have a cranked arm pivoting from a bracket stuck to the side of the gun, that you could put a pellet onto and swing it into the breech. It's a question of how to hold the pellet in place on the arm though....

I can't remember if you already posted some photos of the breech/loading area earlier in the thread, but if not, could you post a couple sometime mate?

I will have a think, I'm sure I could come up with a way of doing it

I was thinking of something attached to the left hand side of the stock/chassis/? because I'm left handed, with some kind of pivoted arm holding a pellet so it swung into the breech.
does it have a retracking probe ?

I made a telescopic/retracking probe bolt for my Ripley to give me a bigger breech area .

May be you could use the front part of the scope rail

What ever you do you will need a fixed point as alignment is critical. the last thing you want to be doing is shaving the pellets on entry to the barrel.

My main question. is why would you want a single shot loader on a open breech . loaders are to replace mags where you carnt get your fingers in to load

I'm not sure how you'd even do it, depending on the arrangement on the 'probe' side, as I'm guessing it's like a counter bored affair? Never seen one in person, but unless there's something to pass through a loader 'arm' then you're probably going to struggle?

there would have to be a transfer port in the bottom of the loader . the main problem is holding the pellet as the large diameter closes on the rear of the barrel .
needs a picture of the breech closed

Yeah, just realised that's the transfer port in the bottom of the channel
