Of the 4th, 5th and 6th which one would be your favourite and why?

Definitely the 12 inch Guncraft in .22 WMR..

12 inch Border Barrel
Midwest Industries Mlok Lightweight 10.5 inch rail
Magpul Acs Stock and flip up back up sights
Rail Scales grip Panels and Midwest Barricade finger stop
Geiselle super semi auto trigger and Radian Raptor charging handle
Sights are a Vortex Razor with a 3 x side flip maginifier

It’s just on the heavy side of light so it’s perfectly balanced for semi auto quick shots and I can shoot it well which helps 😆

I prefer .22 wmr in one of these because it uses a true AR15 bolt which actually utilises the buffer spring in the stock on recoil so, it feels much more like it’s bigger brother in terms of recoil and will also shoot plates at 300 yards which is ace..

The Lantac is great and much cheaper to feed so gets a good second..

The other Guncraft is going on guntrader as I don’t use it that much since I built the shorty

Only issue with the WMR is cost of ammo but it’s still cheaper than centerfire 😆

Sorry if I can pick your brains further, was a K22 one of those 8? How would the KMR compare to the K22. Reason to ask is I've heard people say the K22 gets most things right and is 80% of the way there but I'm not sure how many of them have actually shot a KMR to make the comparison.

Given the law that prevents anybody shooting such a firearm who does not already possess it, or is an RFD and can shoot anything Section 1, I don't see how anybody can in the market for such a gun can make any considered judgement.

That specific conversation was with an RFD.

Paint job on the CZ457 in the XRS Chasis was bored with black. Colour is Metalic Green (Like a mini cooper type colour). Went well I think, prep is the key.

It is still moot. My point was that nobody who is NOT an RFD can 'try out a few' to see which takes their fancy. It's all a bit of pot luck /heresay/opinion. Most people, including me, would hesitate to drop a couple of thousand on a high-class .22 pistol, given that if it wasn't quite the thing, the hassle of trading it in for another one would try the patience of a very patient person.

Sorry, I'd had the conversation with an RFD so then when I saw someone who had owned a fair few LBPs (which is rare for the reasons you outline) I thought I'd take the opportunity to corroborate or deny what I had been told by the RFD.

You can't borrow any from your club? Or from a fellow shooter?

Nope. Only the person who has that firearm and serial number on their FAC is permitted in law to shoot it. TBH, I've not heard of any club having one for its members to use, either.

I'm beginning, after almost 23 years, to regret buying my Ruger Super Redhawk .357Mag - I usually get a great kick out of watching others shooting my selection of guns, but this is one that they can watch but can't touch.

Nope. It is one of those weird situations that comes down to the wording of the exemption that allows other people to shoot your Sec1 firearms. The exemption is for rifles. And Long Barrelled Pistols/Revolvers, and Section One shotguns (>2 shells capacity, or removable, magazine) apparently don't meet the "rifle" bit.

Yes, I know that the legislation didn't ban handguns as such, it banned short firearms, which is why we have LBP/LBR with >12 inch barrels and an overall length greater than 24 inches, so technically they probably are classed as carbine rifles, so really it should be OK, but no one seems to be volunteering to put it to the test in a court of law.

Yep, and then you look at black powder revolvers that can hit pretty high velocities / muzzle energies and you can hand those to a club mate to try. Makes little to no sense how differently they are treated.

Indeed they can - a 125gr ball at 900fps is going to sting, that's for sure. More or less the same as a 9mm Para bullet.
