my favourites

I've recently received this new frame and bands from Snipersling. 90mm fork width.
It took just under two weeks to arrive and came with a sticker, cork coaster and a small disc target.
It's nice and heavy and the clamps feel well machined. I've only used it once so far, plinking against a big heap of road planings and got some half decent accuracy (for me)
Very happy with my purchase.

Shown with my Boker Bronco knife which has a similar stonewash finish.

Brilliant bits of kit as is anything I’ve ever had from Snipersling! I have the smaller 76?mm version I believe and love it, it’s actually heavier than the 90mm as that one has a hollow handle. Will be adding one to my collection at some point I’m sure!

Is there a performance difference between the different sized frames or does it just come down to personal preference?
All personal preference mate, the performance comes from the band setup and having a well matched band for your ammo weight.
I shoot mine long draw as I do all smaller frames so it would likely perform “better” over a chronograph as there is more latex to throw the ball. Speed is not everything though and I am far more consistent shooting short draw.

Thanks, I'm pretty new to this after a 20+ year hiatus from my black widow and diablo days!
Very much trying for consistency and repeatability.
That’s what we want! Things have certainly moved on a long way in terms of elastic and frames, what is your current band and ammo setup?
If you have any questions or issues do post on here, lots of knowledge and all willing to help, there’s a great community of catapult shooters these days, I will help with anything if I can, I’m on every forum trying to help people out and get more responsible shooters and the sport shown in a more positive light with all of the bad press of late

Thanks, that's a very kind gesture.

I currently have:
- Wasp Imp with .58 bands
- Snipersling as shown with .8mm bands

I'm using both of these with 8mm steel ammo.
Purely target practice and plinking.
Somehow the imp has always slipped the net with me, I own most other wasp frames!
8mm is a fantastic ammo and can be used with nice light bands but fly straight and more than enough if you ever get to or want to use them for hunting/pest control reasons, I have shot them for probably 2 years until very recently switching to 7mm.
I would say the bands on the imp are pretty well matched but in all honesty the .8 is quite overkill for 8mm steel, I used to use .8 with 11mm. Bigger isn’t better with these new bands and you may find you lose accuracy and get some band slap on your hands with that, the heavy draw often tricks the brain into thinking it is putting out better speeds but it can slow your ammo down, for target shooting you don’t need a lot of band and a lighter draw weight will bring you more accuracy as you can hold the frame steadier, worth experiencing with a few different types as there will be some that just work for you better than others

Thank you, that's very useful info! 👍🏼
