Reximex myth pellet falling back into past the probe

Is there a fix to stop pellet falling back into the action past the loading probe ,I have had to remove crushed pellets from loading leaver have to load with rifle pointing down not to easy shooting prone. They just fall out of magazine into square hole for loading probe when trying to load

Yes there is a fix. See previous threads on Pretensis, Myth, probably on most of the Reximex guns sharing the same shortcut action.
 
I’m using a Bob p ssl ditched the multi-shot magazines no further trouble with my Reximex Lyra,
also try to find a tight fitting pellet I use H&N target trophy .177 really nice fitting pellets. On the Lyra it caused the loading probe to jam also got down lower into the bottom chamber and covered the hammer and valve, lost all power, had to use dental picks to remove the lead and cotton buds with a smear of silicon grease to pick up the small bits,

Had same problem with mine fell into hammer area power dropped off I have a bob p single shot loader still the same pellet are loose fit
 
Look in the threads. There is a FIX, not just a repair/pellet removal that is a pain in your butt as the sight has to come off. Why do folk buy guns with a known long standing problem on virtually every model that the manufacturer is too bone idle to fix for a few pence? Your mag detente may well be the next bit of trouble.
You may have guessed I am not a fan of Reximex.

I did not know of this problem with the myth or I wouldn't have bought the rifle I always buy a single shot loader for every PCP got into this habit after shooting HFT/ FT so not removing a magazine after every lane , so magazine issues not really a problem. Can anyone give me a link to the fix if there is one I have looked through the threads and can't find any
 
If you want to keep using magazines then buy some from @jchu_1988 on this forum , unlike the standard mags the pellets are retained by an O ring and won't fall out of the mag to get jammed in the prsingle shot magazines I have the bob p one the pellet has still fallen into housing due to how it is built going to try a JCE3D printed single but I will take a look at these magazines thanks for infod

I will take a look thanks I have noticed they do a single shot loader which I'm going to try
 
You should hunt for a loader with an O ring in the pellet hole , without one it will behave like a factory mag and allow the pellet to fall backwards if the gun is tipped
I have been looking if anyone could send me a link just tried to order JCE3D for single shot. link is not working
 
Been in contact ordered one off single they stopped making single shot will also order a magazine thanks
 
I have archived the SSL listing as the ratio of mags to SSL was close to 25:1 so not a big seller and worth keeping the parts in stock.
Slimming down the offering so I can expand to more rifles and make the website less cluttered.

Single shot loaders are not much help. The mags being touted are better than the standard but I did not find them to be a complete fix.
Because pellet probe ends can be so badly finished ie rough, that they can "hook" a pellet. (That needs to be polished up, smoothed off and gently rounded.)
You first need a partial misfeed, then a recock, or to hold the rifle muzzle up, and bosh, a pellet is inside the breech.
To repeat the problem and the fix.
The front of the breech is completely open- there is no front face.
You need to make a front face, with a hole for the pellet probe that is a clearance but less than 4.4mm. (not as hard as it sounds.
A suitable material is 1mm sheet ABS plastic, available from any model shop. Ideally in black. There is enough material from an A5 sheet for dozens of attempts. This is soft and easily worked, drilled and sanded. You cut out a small piece to be the size of the missing front face of the breech. Drill the centre 4.3mm max at the point where the probe will pass through. The hole need only be big enough for the probe to pass through. If you have it right, this plastic would now go over the probe and press back into the front of the breech, being nearly an interference fit- ie it does not fall out and can initially sit there with friction alone.. Now you can remove it, then araldite a tiny smear round the edges and press it carefully into the front of the breech block. The probe is your guide. Remove any spare araldite, especially on the inside of the breech and let it set.
You now have a sealed breech block, with a closed front. The 4.3 mm max hole permits the probe to move freely but if a pellet is pulled back, it is more than 4.3mm and cannot enter the breech. A fix.

How would a pellet get pulled back ? When you cock the gun the probe is pulled back through an empty chamber in the mag , the mag then indexes to a chamber with a pellet in , at this point a pellet could fall out of a factory mag if the muzzle was lifted high enough but that won't happen with a mag that uses an O ring to hold the pellets. Seems that the only time the probe might be able to pull a pellet back would be in a double loading situation as only then will the probe be in contact with a pellet
