Police called as fishing rods mistaken for rifle

Unfortunately the boys in blue are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't, a situation maybe brought upon themselves but a tricky call never the less. I think they did the right thing in responding.
Exactly. Had they not responded and something did happen there would be an uproar from the media if it was then known the Police were called and not responded .

Many are saying the Police wont act on calls and when they do they get called out for it

The police are a funny lot. .
* Story on the News highlighting people having their windows smashed on a regular basis by gangs dealing drugs, etc. . . The police were not interested and just give the victims a crime number.
Probably too busy colouring-in some rainbows. ;)

* Bloke walks down the road with a fishing rod, and they put down their crayons and spring into action. :ROFLMAO:

Never mind... It's all good practise for them.

I used to fish both the Nadder and Avon around Bemerton and used to walk everywhere with the rods ... never saw a copper, but was probably lucky I didn't by the sound of it !!!
