Peterborough Air Rifle & Pistol Club is a now, May 2025, one year old club based at the CTSA’s Douglas Mottram ranges (DMR) near Yaxley, Peterborough.

Our club day is a Saturday, usually after midday. We share the range with a small bore rifle club who usually shoot in the morning on Saturday but there is always some overlap and we coexist quite peacefully 😊

The DMR has covered firing points at 50m and 100 yards though we do not use the 100 yard range. On the 50m range we shoot mainly bench rest at any range out to 50m with the proviso that all pellets must impact the sand stop butts.

We have a separate 50m plinking range with ground mounted Steel silhouette targets and on this range we also have a disabled access firing point.

For further information please contact the email Secretary, Nigel Law

Are you associated with Whittlesey rifle club, I ask as they have an event advertised for 24th August in Yaxley and I’m assuming it’s at this venue.

I’ve also sent you an email

Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard.
No we have nothing to do with Whittlesey rifle club. Their club range is in Whittlesey and is an indoor only range. The DMR range that we shoot at is outdoor only but the facility is available to local clubs that affiliate to the CTSA and it is likely that Whittlesey have hired the DMR for the day.
I have replied to your email.

I haven’t received a reply email and nothing in my spam folder, could you try sending again please

Many thanks
Richard

I had my first induction day at Peterborough Air Rifle & Pistol Club yesterday along with my wife. A very well run club and an impressive set up. Alan and Nigel are two lovely guys who make you feel very welcomed.

Hi, I've recently got a 177 air rifle and was wondering if there was any place I could shoot in a group, please

would you have a website I could look up please ?

Just came across this thread, have sent an email requesting information, look forward to checking the club out 😎👍

I've sent a WhatsApp message to Nigel who runs it in case he has missed the comments on here
Not heard back from Nigel yet, I'm guessing he must be a busy fella 🙂

Just wondering if you could pm me any details about the club, such as opening times, costs etc?

Skelo couldn’t justify the fee to join so I think he was going to give it a miss, send me a pm I’ll send you some details

Hey guys, I’m interested in information regarding joining. Lived in Stilton a couple of years and only just realised there’s an air rifle range 400 yards from my house!

Me and my daughter are actually going to join, we start our training period in April.

With the fees, I got a little mixed up with it, but after talking to Nigel, it all got cleared up 😎👍

We both are looking forward to starting soon 😊
