PD Finn saved his handlers life back in 2016,but was stabbed badly,Finn survived, rejoined PC Wardell back at work, then became the family pet,he was the highest decorated Police Dog in England , he passed away aged 14yrs a testament to his owners care,The Thin Blue Paw made an appeal and raised £40,000 in 72 hours for a bronze statue of him,it was recently unveiled in Buntingford, Herts by the now retired PC Wardell, well done everybody,

I had the great privilege of meeting Finn and PC Wardell some years ago.

I'd heard the story before but don't mind admitting there were tears in my eyes as PC Wardell recounted what had happened to the small group that had sat down to listen.
