Spotted a rat at the end of the garden last weekend.
It’s led me on a merry dance ever since, with all this windy, wet weather we’ve been having.
I set up a bait station at 30 yards and have been sitting out every night that it hasn’t been raining this week. Had two shots at it earlier in the week, on two different nights. But it had the better of me.
Almost like it knew the shots were coming and darting back into cover as I pulled the trigger both times.
Clean misses, impacting the backstop right where it’s head should have been.
Today I moved my spot closer, down to 20 yards, and set the pard up on my .177 Airwolf instead of the .20 Regal. Reasoning that the faster pellet would get there before it could react.
Worked a treat!

Gave him a good dose of red eye. And not from the camera flash!
Just have to keep a lookout for his mates now, cos I bet he’s not alone.

So satisfying when you get the one that’s been flicking the V’s at you for a while. Nice one Chris.
