No, look at the picture of the Nightstalker 4k in the first post in this thread
Also, I think it's only available in the USA
The PARD shop shows all their different models of NV and thermal kit (much of which is not available in the UK)

Yeah, i heard the same thing.
It probably wouldn't be a bad move for them
The obvious distributor for PARD would be Optics Warehouse (who tried and failed to get the PARD distributorship before SGC got it)
However OW have the HIK dealership and there's no way HIK will allow OW to be distributors for both brands
Scott Country would be a possibility, but that wouldn't be great for consumers

I’ve asked Matt at sgc and he said they will be stocking them as soon as they get passed British standards
That means the IR will be an LED rather than a vcsel which will totally compromise its NV performance - unless you use an external vcsel based IR

Only if you get the 50mm lens version
The field of view on the 70 and 100mm version will be very narrow for sub 12ftlb work

That obviously makes the nightstalker look better than the Alpex4k but, and it's a big but, the video doesn't tell us which model of night stalker it is - 50/70 or 100mm lens and although both scopes have LRFs, there no range data to help put the size of the animals into context
Because it has a base magnification of x3.5, the Alpex is clearly using digital zoom to make the animals about the same size and if the video was shot using the 100mm version of the nightstalker with a base magnification of x6.8, the Alpex would have to be at x2 digital zoom to make the animal close to the same size
x2 digital zoom will make the image significantly more pixellated than at base magnification

I’m assuming that the base mag of the pard is x4 … same as the ds35
Unless I’m reading it wrong

The magnification depends on the focal length of the objective lens
50mm lens = x4 magnification
70mm lens = x5.6 magnification
100mm lens = x8 magnification
I just noticed that, at the start of the video, it says that it's the Nightstalker 4k-70, so the optical magnification is x5.6 - compared to x3.5 optical magnification for the Alpex, so to get the animals to appear roughly the same size, the Alpex has to be using digital zoom which will pixellate the image, and frankly the Alpex 4k looks to be using a lot more digital zoom than needed to make the animals appear the same size.
That indicates to me that the range to the animal is not the same for both scopes
ie, the animal is closer to the nightstalker than it is to the Alex 4k
Maybe that's why there is no range information even although both scopes have LRFs that show the range directly on the display

Just to let you all know, I’ve received my Pard Nightstalker 4k this week, and I’m in the UK

Hi Bruce.

I’ve just received my Night Stalker 4k, and it has the vcsel IR and not the downgraded LED ir, and I am in the uk so I’ve no idea to be honest.
