Hi guys just to give you the heads up I sold an Airsporter Mk1 on here a couple of weeks ago, the buyer contacted me the stock broke in half.I contacted PF re the breakage and initially they said airguns are not insured at all if sent by us .I took a photo of the page on their website where it clearly states low powered air weapons can be posted and doesn't mention anything about them not being insured up to the maximum £150, after a lot of faff they conceded but still have point blank refused to pay out and used every excuse under the sun to wriggle out of paying for the damage they caused whilst it was in their possession .In addition to this they didn't want to pay the postage back even though they took over the 48 hrs .I have since got it in writing that they intend to pay the £12 postage back by cheque and as a gesture of good faith to the buyer ive refunded this to him and some of my payment .Basically they know there is nowhere you can go to to rant at them ,as the department where they deal with these claims for damage is probably in an access bared office block somewhere so beware when using them if it gets damaged they will try every way to get out of their responsibility to you and the buyer.

Thats shocking, looks like they've been playing cricket with it rather than delivering it. How was it packed?

I had a delivery off Evri the other day the driver was throwing the stuff around didn't give a shit that they are peoples goods I think if I,m sending any rifles I,m gonna put them in a rigid gun case and have it sent back by the buyer

The problem is one bad experience ruins things.

I've posted loads and received loads must be nearly 100 or so and only once did I have an issue and had it refunded.

Of the numerous guns bought and sold and posted on here the vast majority goes well and fine. It's a small risk between seller and buyer but still a risk.

Best bet deal in person but not always feasible to do with vast distances, fuel, time etc.

No easy way round it for me the buyer if they want it posted has to accept the risk or collect it.

Still I get nervous when I'm posting and always wrap as I'd like to receive

Hi Desmond yep your right ive got a hard case here I,m gonna put it to the buyer this is the safest way send it back to me .They have either stepped on it or dropped something heavy on it but they won't shift in fact they asked for photos of the packaging and before I had sent them they had decided not to pay annoying ....

Well MJD ive just sold a Sirocco and did just that lets hope there's no issues there and went crazy with the bubble wrap and polystyrene .

Send a recorded delivery letter to them, refusing their excuses for not paying, tell them 7 days to pay or you will submit acclaim to small claims court.
Did this with the post office a few years ago in similar circumstances, they sent a chq in 5 days.

It took me 3 months to get £50 back for a broken stock on a Diana 45, they would not give anymore even with undamaged pictures with my name and date in photo on AGF sales 2 days before I posted it . I even showed pictures of the bubble wrap and cardboard and duct tape wrapping and proof of postage, i sent the money on to the AGF member and Nath did the repair. It makes you think is it worth using PF48.
