Over and under or side by side

You could go for a Beretta Ultra light and get the best of both worlds.
As light as a SxS but in M/C O/U layout and its a Beretta. 😁
 
I will only use an o/u now. Tried s/s a few times and can’t hit a barn door at 10yds with the things. Weight doesn’t bother me but recoil does!

I could barely hit a thing last weekend, first time trying dtl. Im doing sporting tomorrow so will see how that goes with the sxs. Although still wont be able to tell if its the gun or me 🤣
Recoil doesn't seem to be an issue on 21g cartridges though. 27 kicked a bit more but wasnt the worst.

I don’t know what it is about S/S. All the ones I’ve tried I can’t hit a thing, but give me an O/U and it seems easy! Let us know how you get on with sporting and the s/s. Hopefully it’s just me!!

Well i got the piss taken out of me when i pulled it out last weekend, so I know its definitely not ideal for it. But it gets me out in the meantime before i manage to lump out on a o/u
 
I’m with Varminter on this one. I love to use my side by side 12 bore game gun, with light loads, for walked up game shooting.
It’s so much easier to carry because it’s much lighter than my over and under game gun and has a wider forend that just seems to rest easier over my arm as I carry it. In addition to this I tend to shoot less cartridge when walking up as the shooting is far less formal.
I use my over and under game gun for driven game, expecting to shoot many more cartridge and of course pay handsomely
for that experience.
