I added a 4x32 AO to mine, and shoot with it out to small bells at 40 yards. plus. A red dot was simply not good enough for the gun as there is seldom any optical magnification and the dot obscures the target.
I shoot from a bench and beanbag support. Typically I can manage 15mm ten shot groups at 15 yards. I wobble a bit...Now very few guns are perfect for you out of the box. The real issue is getting them to suit.
I've had it 5 years with only a few problemettes, all fixed.
1. The input valve went faulty. This may have been due to using a handpump when I was a newbie. But the fix is a matter of minutes. You simply unscrew the front from the air tube, remove one screw and replace the O ring that is under the head of the screw. I found that using one slightly bigger than the original worked better. No trouble now for 4 years plus. If you need to degas, just very gently press in the hammer pin that is visible at the rear.
2. Loading it resulted in too many dropped pellets. (Big fingers! ) A loading tray was required....
I do model boats, and have supplies of plastic sheet and plastic tubes. I simply glued a 6mm long semicircle of tube with 4.5mm ID onto a tiny scrap piece of black 1mm sheet. Then carefully glued that sheet plain side onto the side of the lever/transfer port part just in front of the trigger, in the Open position, lined up with the breech. That made a loading tray. No disassembly required, and can be removed if necessary. That transformed the gun handling in terms of speed and reliability of loading.
3. The trigger was a little rough, but "ran in" after a while. Possibly could do with a polish of the sears but it wasn't broke... However, one pin that is a part of that assembly was observed to move to and fro, and as a precaution I fixed it with the tiniest bit of araldite.
4. Mine liked heavier pellets. Excites shoot OK, but the gun kicked a bit and needed careful handling. It was and is happier with a 0.68 gramme heavy pellet because the kick is much reduced.
5. It's easily tuned for what you want- power versus pellet count. You have direct access to transfer port, reg pressure and access to hammer spring by just removing the handle cover. I get 58 shots at 5.3 ft lbs from a 200 bar fill. Do not adjust the reg without degassing to well below reg pressure.
