Due to a shoulder injury and a combination of other issues I haven’t shot my archery kit for a couple of years. It’s all recurve gear I was using and achieved Bowman standard scores ( Terminology changed now) it’s all known brands and in very good or excellent condition. I bought new from shops or as new from eBay.

I find eBay a bit of a faf now and don’t use facebook. I was recommended to use “sell my bow” site but have not gotten into that as yet.

If a valuation thread on my gear is useful I could do that here I suppose.

What’s the opinion of you clever folk, I could list on the forum simple and no fuss but it’s probably a small audience. Or should I embrace market place ?😬

Thanks
Dave

I would use Facebook and Ebay, I was like you about Ebay a while back but I have been selling a lot of car parts over the last year and it's been pretty good so far, as has been Facebook. I am sure others will have different opinions but it's luck of the draw unfortunately.

As I’ve got a EBay account I’ll probably go that way. Useful feedback thanks. 👍🏼

It may only be a small audience on here but you only need one or two people and it could reduce the amount of gear you have too move on considerably, you could also approach your local archery clubs with a list and prices of your equipment.
Cheers

I also have 1 or 2 to move on.
I find Facebook the best for it personally

There's a site called 'sell my bow' you can put your gear on, there's a fee but it's not bad. And numerous groups on Facebook too.

I’m petty much done on the selling of my archery gear, most via ebay and a few items local to an old shooting pal.

Thanks for the input on here as it’s always useful to hear of other routes.
Thanks
Dave

I've just sold all my gear on eBay, it took ages, and I had to keep dropping the price. It was a tough sale for some almost-new high-end gear

I cleared all mine on E bay it took a couple of weeks and I accepted a few offers in order to make the sale.
What I did learn was that eBay postage activity is a real nause.

I currently have a case against them with trading standards regarding this. When you put the length of the bow it auto selects oversized parcel (anything over 68cm) but when you actually sell your item and go to print the shipping label it states max length 150cm. Leaving you with a postage label you have just purchased for £13.95 that’s not fit for purpose.
When I tried to bring it up with eBay they said that it gives a max length if you list it on there website and not the app and you are supposed to list items on your desktop not your phone. So I took them to trading standards over it

I hope you win the case mate, eBay is always a nightmare
