Yea, that will be what used to be the collet block..

Oh as to “not been drilled” not this time but I have tried to drill a hole with a 63mm sandvik U-Drill without any tips in it 🤣🤣
 
Oh…The other thing I was hoping for was a 50 cal button going through a .243 barrel. Never mind. Clearly it was an accident. Expensive accident.
 
We have a gun drill at work, I'd not seen one before, not your regular drill bits for sure.
Gun drills are a nightmare, I have a few sets but avoid it when I can.
Weird tip arrangement with the cutting surface over centre and only 1 cutting face.
Till the oil pressure drops and swarf gets in by the two alignment pads and you end up with an expensive ornament😬😬😬

The one in work runs the oil at 4500 psi, and it holds 400 litres
Job of the week, last week was removing the oil and filters
and a full clean out - first time for at least 8 years
oh and HAND cranking out 400 litres of oil, I don't know how my arm didn't drop off :eek:
