Many of you may well be looking for that perfect gift, and often see adverts for tempting items pop when you’re on the internet.
One such item caught my attention just yesterday, a lovely looking marble-like sphere crafted into a cat’s head, with striking eyes. They cost anything from under £10 to over £20 for what essentially looks like the same thing, from different outlets.
It looks a bit too finely crafted for my liking…

Anyway, at work today a colleague was telling me about his latest putchase

Guess what it was he’d ordered? That’s right, the very same cat sculpture I’d seen myself. This is what he ordered:

This is what he received:

As you can imagine, he is most unhappy. He say's it weighs almost nothing and the eyes appear to be stickers.

I've had a look at some other examples people have received from other companies, and I think his is actually better than most, although he paid £25 for this.

Look at the advert, the company claims to be London based and shows a swanky looking shop. It's just lies.

It's just junk shipped from China and he won't be getting the refund he's hoping for.

I find these 'expectation v reality' examples most amusing.

Please upload your own examples, there is a funny side to some of these scams...

These turned up a couple of days ago, I don’t have a screenshot of the original advert but in the iPhone news app they appeared between what seemed like every five or six news stories for weeks, strangely on the day I received the email saying they were out for delivery, the advert disappeared from my phone

If you had seen the advert you would have believed you were going to receive beautifully crafted 3D tree hangers 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ha ha! There are ads for these online, and some of them do actually state they are ‘2d’ and ‘flat’. Some don’t though, and they do look very convincing…
