New Steyr Air 10 arrived

These self indexing airguns, do they respond the same way a semi-auto centre fire would? I know the mechanics are different, but practically in operation is it just as quick as you pull the trigger, or is there a chance of jamming if you shoot too quick? Beauty BTW, I'll be saving up me thinks.

The feel the same as a semi-auto but obviously without the feel of the bolt

I have never jammed a Steyr SA however fast you pull the trigger it seems impossible to outrun.. you seem to be able to trip up the other systems out there but I have never managed it with these..

Same here, never managed to outrun the ProX. What impressed me most though is the reg recovery time. One of my chronos does a rounds per minute figure (mainly for airsoft use) - firing as fast as possible I got around 240 rpm - fps spread did increase from 4 or 5fps when taking time to around 14fps on full chat over a mag

I know it's great engineering, my Taipan Slash was dropping up to 40 fps when shot fairly quickly... was grouping around the 2 inch mark at 25 yards yards if shot fast whilst the Steyr is still one hole...

My current Pro x is even more accurate but is a .177 and probably overscoped...
 
.... what's the update on your latest toy Zogg 😂.

I'm trying to resist buying an air 5... but now one of my local dealers has the air 10 in stock I'm bloody tempted 😔....
 
I'd definitely want to put a traditional scope on top so wondering what options I might have?.... I'm thinking a nice 34mm tube Lpvo scope but obviously must have long eye relief to overcome the magazine obstruction.

I love mine, so much so that I have not touched any of my other PCP’s since I got it… just so much fun to shoot

It’s exceptional in my opinion so much so that I am probably going to sell my H5 as the Prox beats it for a bench gun and I can’t keep them all however much I want to 🤣

Lvpo’s do seem to work but to be honest if I really wanted one of these for dedicated scope use I would probably buy the five

I was very much edging towards the Air 5...but in all honesty it's not far off a clone of my HUNTER 5A SCOUT 🤔.
At least with the Air 10 I'd have something a little different with a different take on the five stick I already have!...no way would I part with my HUNTER 5A SCOUT after having the stock customised & the shroud made.
 
That is.......Perfect....congratulations....someone has finally nailed it.....amd of course it's Steyr.....im about to look up the price.....prey for me lol.....so only 300 more than a Alpha Wolf or Redwolf.....I think it's priced spot on...anyone know what the warranty period is on these?...i doubt it would be needed though..

Well it would make it unusable if shouldered but shouldn’t actually turn it on or off
