Well the new scope arrived MTC Mamba Lite, fitted it then found the mounts fouled the mag by 0.5mm Bugger. So I thought might as well see how it shoots, used the SSL, and found I could not hit anything at 20m. Big sheet of cardboard, nothing. Checked everything, made sure the scope reticles were centred, nuts tight, bigger sheet of cardboard, nothing, aimed right at the bottom, and just hit the top, well over 3 feet high. Wound the scope reticles down to the stop, still 3 ft high? Came down to 10yds nothing.
Took the scope off, and transferred the Regal scope over, almost the same fit, and the mag did fit. 5 shots and still way high.
Never had anything like this on any rifle. Checked with the seller, no problems, but he was using MTC adjustable each forward mount, reversed in this case, so I have ordered one.
I assume the scope is pointing down, and I should be lifting the front, would that be right? one deg. rase. Also are these adjustable mounts easy to gradually adjust or are they a bit hit and miss, never had to use one before. And looking at other Revery users scope mounting, they seem to be fitted in the normal way. Not sure why this one is so different
And I did change silencers just in case.

ive encountered a problem putting a falcon s10i on using hawke high mounts as bottom of windage housing not letting magazine go in...had to find some cheap high mounts to get to fit...bit of a pain

I had this on my Revere with my Hawke frontier, the 1 inch tube version. When I use dovetails that just clear the mag, zero issue, but when I put a pic rail on and use higher mounts I ran out of adjustment. I got around it by putting two or three slithers of beer can under the pic rail closest to the safety.

For me I think I had the combination of higher mounting and reduced adjustment (smaller tube diameter).

No MOA on the rail. I was thinking barrel or shroud. Had a good look at that, and nothing obvious. As it is I can't even see if it's grouping, cant have things going over the backstop, it's high enough already. I'll take the shroud off tomorrow, see how it shoots naked. 🫣

Out of interest if you roughly sight the barrel at the target, ie looking down the length of the barrel, is it approx on target. Just to narrow it down to scope or barrel or possibly clipping.

It's approx on target, and I've used two different scopes and mounts one off my Regal which is pellet on pellet. The previous owner had a copperhead scope on it and adjustable mounts, so there might be a reason for adjustable mounts. The rifle did the rounds at Daystate, the photographer bought it off them and the last owner bought it with scope fitted, so it could have picked up damage along the way.
Comparing it with my Regal the scope looks to be pointing down at the front, but I could be imagining it.

3ft at 20m I’d be surprised if there is that much elevation in that scope. Sounds like a scope mount issue to me. The scope most look visibly pointing down and not running flush with the barrel.

It does sound like a decent set of mounts or adjustable mounts will cure the symptoms. Hopefully it's that, an easy fix.

A common issue is that the rear mount has an anti-recoil grubscrew, and if this is protruding even a little, you can get the mounts fitted but one is slightly high due to the screw. This issue in the rear mount would cause high shots, front would cause low shots.

A Huntsman should be easy to mount a scope on, there's nothing unusual about them.

There wasn't, scope was right on maximum depression and I was aiming at the bottom of a sheet of packing cardboard!
Sounds ideal if you’re looking for a 200m setup 😂I’m sure you’ll get it sorted mate 👍

when I got my revere in 2020 the mag drove me nuts. it's just a fractionally too high for mediums be it hawke or bkls. Not sure what daystate were thinking as highs are not a option with the low comb.

I skimmed bkls but never felt right to do so. accuracy and consistency seemed OK but had doubts.

I got a carm mag and removed the skims. Great improvement. Then I switched and stuck to ssl. Most accurate and consistent pcp I have.

Just a thought, are you sure that you have turned the turret the right way? You may be maxed out the wrong way. Just a thought, not meant to be patronising.

Thanks for all the useful information So. The recoil screw is out, even though I had used it on the Regal, there is no hole on the Revere. And yes the the turret was turned the right way, and can a 177 pellet reach 200m. That was my 223 setup range :sneaky: Anyway the rings on the Regal setup are fractionaly higher, so that fitted ok minus the recoil screw.
So today with the rain, I set up in the garage, managed 8ft on the ES 4-16x42 off the Regal, target was a bit blurry but good enough to see the gun was shooting up to 5" high and like a shotgun, so it was clipping, tried several mods and all much the same. So removed the shroud and 2" low and shots through the same hole, which I think sounds about right so close. With a long silencer on the shroud, it was clearly pointing upwards, and a straight edge confirmed it. So back to the seller

three shots on the lower 2" low three on the upper 3" high hardly surprising I could not find any holes at 20m
