New NateChrony v2.5 & Pricing

Somewhat painful day but progress...

Cant do anything about the screen timeout - change it in your device configs. (there's technical limitations)
New steadyshot software coming out this week: select decimal readouts, comments on all 4 strings

You can also now purchase a v2.5 --> SteadyShot upgrade from the store.

Cant do anything about the screen timeout

I'm exclusively using mine on a computer now (via the home WiFi) so this is no longer an issue for me. I also don't use the voice callout any more as a quick glance at the display is super easy on a 27" screen.

One other thing I remembered from my short initial session :giggle: Suppressing the decimal places on the voice callouts is good for muzzle velocity in fps where the number is big and the DPs aren't that important, but muzzle energy is a much smaller number. 11.51 fpe (legal here) and 12.49 fpe (illegal here without a FAC) would both be called out as 12 - hearing it rounded to one decimal place would be a good compromise :) Again this is hardly critical - hearing the full fpe number is OK.

Forgot to say that I did my first session with the 5.14 firmware recently and noticed that the voice callout for muzzle energy is now given to two decimal places which is excellent - many thanks for this small enhancement!

new v6 software allows you to choose decimals or not.
also voice issues may come in future as the feature is being deprecated/changed in future - will work on it

Please can someone share the process of how to upgrade from the natechromy v2.5 up to steadyshot please?

Also what does it cost? Thanks

@BTB 500 for preventing screen timeouts on Android, I use the Caffeine app from the play store. Can toggle it on or off in settings then.

If you have a Samsung device you can also set up a routine that launches Caffeine with specific programs. I've got it set to not time out when I'm using spotify

There's a guide how to use it here:

Good call - thanks.

I hardly ever use my phone now though as I chrono at home within reach of the WiFi, so I access the NC on a Windows PC instead (y)
