Well I got the Webley Excocet in .22 (not my favourite calibre). It is basically in very good condition. My Nephew says he is the first one to go in it judging from the condition of the screw heads. It needs a full stock renovation there are some very enthusiastic scratches on both sides of the stock. Due to the fact that we are just out of Christmas I am going to Oil the Stock and hope I can still do it. This is the full length rifle equipped with Front and Rear sights. I do not know why because with this stock it is impossible to the assume the classic position with Post and Notch sights. The Comb of the Stock is far too high. So Scope it is. On dismantling the rear sight I am stuck with this little Post that the useless rear sight adjust up and down on. As I have no way that I can use the sight without butchering the comb of the Stock I have had a go at unscrewing it using brute force (always my first point of call) to no avail. If anybody knows the secret of doing this please let me know. Yesterday I tried it at about 22 Yards and after a rocky start and about four pellets to try I was getting passable groups with a couple of pellets. RS were ok but not outstanding (i believe Rob is using them) and as good as anything to my great surprise was Hobby the flat head. That really surprised me. Mind you The Hobby walloped Express. but were slightly better than RS. The starter pack I used yesterday were 4 different pellets from JSB. I have nearly a full tin of Hobby left and so today I shall order a tester pack of H and N and report back
