New Gun Day

Happy New Gun Day to you Missus and your you Son!

He's a damned good shot, and those results suggest that with some minor TLC that rifle with be a Tack Driver/Laser/Pellet-On-Pelleter or what the current term is ;)

HNGD to the young'n! Just picked up one of these about 10 days ago from Vector Air. Agree with the imperfections with the mags and SSL. I'm a R hander so the LH loading system is dire when you are shooting with a glove. Ordered a RH SSL 3d printed by Maple Custom Products in Canada (£20 all in). Much better! Also furniture waxed the stock. Very nice. Shame the cocking lever is a little sloppy. Also modded the front rail and made a BR rest (as to NSRA specs). Now just to find the right pellets...Complete.jpgNSRA BR Mod.jpgSSL RH.jpg

HNGD your son was well chuffed with him self when I spoke to him 👍
Also we’re all here to help each other down at Petes farm 😜

He absolutely loves shooting at Pete's. He's got even more full of himself since he was introduced to card cutting 😂

Thank you very much for taking a interest in him. It's much appreciated

Thank you. Very helpful info.

Did you strip the stock back before you waxed?

I took a look at those SSL's. They look good. I wonder if their mags are also a little easier to fit?

There's certainly a knack to the lever, isn't there. I don't find it too bad, but I think if frustrates my son. He's just going to have to be gentle with it I think.

It certainly seems accurate up to 35yrds at the moment. My wife and I are going shooting on Friday, so chance to get it properly zeroed (my son, for some reason, is shooting with holder and windage - indoors - but who is his dad to tell him otherwise....) and see what it can do.
