New Gun day: FX Maverick Sniper

@Fx shooter I am now a convert to slugs. Thank you for encouraging me to try them again. HandN 25 grain .218 at 930 ftps are repeatedly under a pound coin at seventy yards despite breezy conditions that were pushing the jsb redesigns around a bit. Zero faff, just five mill to the side and three mill down and I'm switching between the redesigns and HN 25 grains at seventy yards. Just have to sell all the other slugs that didn't work so well now......

Having got some air and done some garage testing it's gone back to SGC as power wheel works backwards from adjuster fully in to fully out in 1/2 turn increments. It did a good job on my backstop! And it's awfully
Loud at the gun (hammer on valve )

It's on its way to SGC I was a bit reluctant to get into it in a brand new gun . Obviously I'll grasp that nettle at some point.
My garage backstop took a beating!
Bizmags at 1030 hit awfully hard
Hammer valve noise was ear ringing.

If you watched the video in the link - it would all become clear. It would have saved returning it to SGC for a setup issue that can be resolved in seconds with an allen key

Finally got out with the Maverick this afternoon and first impressions are very positive. At power 2 I have 18.3s flying true at 900ftps out to 70 yards matching the Cricket. At power 6 the 25.3 redesigns are flying at 965ftps and 7 pushes them to 995ftps.....

The attached picture shows a five shot group at 70 yards using the redesigns at 965ftps which seems to work great. Not all groups were so tight but all were very acceptable.

All said and done very happy with what the rifle is capable of. I suspect I can still shoot Hades at power one and some reasonably light slugs at higher powers... will abuse my zeroing and practicing to see what works.

One negative is the noise in my ear from the mechanism but it's bedded into the design so I'm just going to have to deal with it. It's also not as comfortable to shoot as the Cricket but the side cocking makes up for it.
What's your hammer set up, please eg. preload, weight, etc?
