NEFTA Winter League 25/26 - Round 8 (18/01/26)

The Winter League rounds will consist of a 30 shot field target course with 2 sessions. There will also be a 20 shot silhouette shoot and a 10 shot pistol course.

£6 entry fee (free for under 18's). Signing in starts around 8am with the first session starting at 9am. Second session generally starts about 11.30-12.

If you are wanting to dip your toes into the world of Field Target the Winter League is a great opportunity to do so. If you are new to the sport let the signing in team know & they will look to place you with an experienced & helpful shooter.

➼ Car share where possible.
➼ Please don't arrive before 7.30am.
➼ Anston has a one way system in use now.
➼ Obey the club reps if they give you parking instructions.
➼ Food will be available via Nikki and her van of delights.
➼ Sign your scorecard when you book in.
➼ Please make sure the back of your score card is fully completed and signed. Pellet info is mandatory.

Reminder on the pistol & silhouette shoots, you need to knock the target down for a point. If you think you've hit it and it doesn't drop...

➼ Unlucky flower, it's like a split that didn't go your way, tek it on't chin.

➼ Don't touch the string, call for a marshal and explain the situation, they'll check the target and 99% of the time it will as above, unlucky flower but now we're all 5 min later finishing.

Round 8 of the NEFTA Winter League in the lovely woodland of Anston FTC.

A challenging course to say the least, but the cream rose to the top as per usual.

➼ SFT - Jennie Smith is on a roll
➼ Springer - Ian Wray is also on a roll
➼ Open - Russ turned up, got his standers, had a few issues but dug deep
➼ Pistolero #1 - Chris Asquith
➼ Silhouette Master - Jon Ball
➼ Top Team - Clean sweep from the Anston massive
