Litter 😡

I know it's a small thing considering all the problems in society these days, but I think sorting out law and order should start from the bottom. I would empower the police to administer on-the-spot punishment beatings. Nothing life threatening; just enough make people think twice.
This!!!!
Litter is not a small problem, it's a sign that someone is degenerate scum!
There's no excuse for it and fly tipping is ultimate vermin behaviour

Signage for me... How long is a Temporary Road Surface temporary? 3yrs for the A52 to Ashbourne.
How dry does the road have to be before they remove the Flood sign?
How hot does it need to be before they remove the Icy Road sign?
And why, when they move the cones to the grass verge, can they not move or turn the Lane Ahead Closed sign?

The signs are up for so long they become part of the scenery and when they are actually relevant they are easily ignored!

What about twats in cars with no lights?
Years ago, when I was driving a lorry in east London, I was going out on the last delivery on a winter's evening, and the street lights were on, so I put my headlights on. I saw a car coming towards me without its lights on, which was common enough in the area, some of our "colonial" friends seem to think it's a sign of masculinity to avoid using lights as long as possible! I was just about to flash my lights to warn the driver, when I saw it was a police patrol car.....

Similar thing is the number of pointless signs on the road. When I was in London, I would often see signs saying that the traffic light timings had changed. AND? We still go on green and stop on red, how long we wait is neither here nor there. Worst ones were on the M25. There are two long tunnels around the Essex/Hertfordshire border. If you are on the motorway there is no way to avoid them. They both have signs telling you how long they are. What exactly are we supposed to do with this information? A multi storey car park near where I used to live. There's an exit on the third floor. You put your ticket in, the barrier goes up,and you drive down a spiral ramp to get to the road. At the end of the ramp, a sign on the overhead gantry reads "Exit Only". Kind of too late to tell us that, by the time we get there, we are pretty much committed to leaving....

Absolutely 100% behind you on this one Barry ... our neighbour's lad often has mates round and they park their cars on the verge, then dump all of their rubbish in the hedge before walking 30 yards to the house, straight past the black and green bins

Think they may have got the message now though as the other day I picked it all up and pushed it into the gaps of the alloy wheels front and back, then rang the father and told him next time it'll all get put through the open kitchen window.

I don't know why this has recently started to happen, but when companies have to dig up a road, forcing closure for a time, they put the road ahead closed sign on the road that's still open?? Not the one that's closed.

Twats with Vapes who buy them and then walk past the bin outside the shop and open it to then drop the box, mylar bag, instructions and rubber plugs on the path while walking away from the shop.

Vapes thrown onto the paths and roads . Some are stainless steel tubes and end up like a cookie cutter in vehicle tyres.

There was a report from a lady here who had just had a new tyre fitted and on the way home she had a vape cut a hole in it and was still in it as it went down.

I often find them on my walk by the river also.

The nicotine pouches . I am seeing them on the paths more and more now also. Spat out once used .some close to public bins 🙄

The fact my lane looks like it's been ploughed up and the council claim it's so bad they can't patch it...but neither will they resurface it - so it just get's worse and worse.

Oh, and they haven't actually cleared the drains properly in 10 years, they only clear the top 18", leaving the bottom 2ft and connecting culverts full of silt. This means the roads flood, and stay flooded after a short amount of heavy rain... add tractors, cars and some HGVs into the mix and guess what? The hydraulic action wrecks the road even more.

(As others have mentioned) Not indicating at roundabouts is a bugbear of mine, all it takes is a finger movement and the whole junction moves more efficiently, the roads leading up to it too.

If I spot a truck stuck getting on I'll even slow a little, as they get the message quickly, that you have seen them and are not about to sit on the horn if they pull on.
There is one roundabout in particular, where good early indication is like a catalyst to movement, be selfish and everyone has to suffer.
