I remember a video on the field sports channel of a man Marking out his trajectory using what he called sniper tape on his stock, does anyone do this or anything similar or know of any better ways
Same here. Can't do better than range, click, record impact. I do 5 yard intervals from 10 - 60. It was the only well trusted way before inbuilt BC calculators.Click charts for me, every yard from 10-20 then split more up to 55.
Superb! Actually, over time I've memorised the elevation clicks for my FFP Hawke Sidewinder. Glad to say all my FFP scopes have half-decent open turrets.I made up a little spreadsheet on my phone with hold over/under for every 5m from 10 to 45, so it's always with me. Takes a second to range, another 2 seconds to look it up if needed.
This seems like the best idea, I don't want to mess about with clicks and looking on my phone at chairgun just takes too long when huntingMero and some others will let you print of scope cap labels and scope tape.
