I had a tickly throat yesterday which turned into a sore throat by 2.00am. It has now turned into sneezing, coughing and a runny nose.

Remember, if you suspect man flu, you must urgently visit your nearest shop and buy a bottle of something with at least 40% alcohol by volume. Avoid contact with other men, unless it’s in the pub, and you should certainly not undertake any household tasks like washing the dishes, no matter how much you want to help out.

Gents, be careful out there. I’ve heard rumours that this year’s variant is one of the most deadly yet.

I had it the other week. I was dying ( or so I told my wife ), a few days later I was ok then she got it and its lasted two weeks for her . She lost her voice which was not as good as you would think as she could still communicate .

I only took Ibrufen and paracetamol but she has been on the Covina and Jakemans lozenges .

Get well soon, the water of life will certainly help and thats a nice drop,Bushmills Black Bush is my go to tipple, slainte.🥃👍

@BarryA There is a bout of this happening at Castle Mac22 at the moment. It's being treated with Paracetamol,Ibruprofen, Night Nurse and Dalmore 12 y.o. and so far it's not shifted! Only day 4 so early days yet. May have to shift the treatment up a gear to Fettercairn 14 y.o tomorrow if no improvement. Failing that the nuclear option......Laphroig hot toddies with honey, cloves, orange and lemon.

Stay strong brother. We'll get through this.

You'll need a new gun when you're better 👍
Damn right but I've just spent £600 on fencing materials. Which I had to hump into the barn on my own in my severely weakened state this afternoon, I might add, so I just need to replenish the funds first.

I do fancy an HW95 but I've emailed Krale to see if they can ship an HW85 to the UK. I fancy a springer with open sights.

Sounds like you're taking it seriously Barry and going about treating it in the right way ... I may just have to go and pour myself a preventative Highland Park just in case you can catch it over t'Interweb 🤧🥃

Currently suffering my first case of man flu as a dad with two rather energetic kids bouncing around the house. Did treat myself to a bottle of red tonight to get some extra vitamin goodness, but am dreading if it gets worse as I do man flu without dignity or grace!

You have chosen good medication. Just take it regularly, and if you don't improve, obtain more medication.

My grandad swore by 50% black coffee, 50% Lambs Navy rum, wrap yourself in a duvet and sweat it out in 36 hours.

I love rum. I love coffee. I hate Lambs but apparently it must be that one.

Works a treat.

Exactly the symptoms I had just after Christmas. I was fairly lucky as it only dragged on for 5 weeks.

Don't worry it's not terminal, you've got a cold and in few days you'll be back to your old self.
Man Flu! ffs there's no such thing it's just a term for those that want to get sympathy from those around them and an excuse for getting out of doing something they'd rather not do.
