Logun S16 upgrade to a FAC gun.

Hi, i have a legal limit Logun S16 mk1 which i purchased when i lived in England. I now live in the Republic of Ireland, where all airguns, regardless of power, require a firearms certificate. My question is, would it be possible to upgrade my gun to a FAC version, and if so,can anyone recommend anyone who could do the work.

first, does this rifle shoot straight and group really good as it stands now? you wouldn't want to sling money at it when there are lighter weight and more powerful airguns to be had ...

The rifle is is in mint condition, it has only had less than 1000 rounds put through it, it does group well but it is now leaking air from somewhere, not sure where.

yes, they can be uprated, .22 will do 24 ftlbs no problem, the later FAC s16s 's did 30 ftlbs but have completely different internals so its unlikely you'd get the higher output efficiently, without changing the aforementioned at significant added cost.

As you are based in NI it will have to go via a dealer anyway, we do a lot of work for dealers in NI, so i would suggest talking to your local dealer(s) in the first instance

From my experience of owing the later 30ft/lbs FAC model, if yours shoots nicely then leave it well alone. The one I had was horribly inconsistent and loud. Tried several different things with my RFD and it was still very under whelming. There are far better 24&30ft/lbs rifles out there without all the hassle.
Oh and to give background I also had a aub 12 that shot beautifully and was the inspiration for buying the FAC version.

ahh yes they do leak, lots of o-rings to fail.

if they are built properly they will last forever between services, same as any pcp, the biggest issue was poor qc, and user error. We get guns in for a service that havent been touched for many many years, so it goes to show if they are built properly they last.

The s16 Evo was the biggest pile of ever and it was me that killed that, then edgar brothers took it on.............
