Let’s See Your Rough Ryders

Dont know if its just coincidence or simply by the design features of the Copperhead style buut Ive found they have a great solid fit with excellent walk and talk . Any views ?
 
The walk is the actual opening and closing of the blades . ( not too sluggish , and not too stiff )
The talk is the solid snap at the half stops and fully opening or closing of the blade .

Got to admit I do like the shape of the Bow Trapper , I think it would be great in a Brown bone stag or cinnamo stag .

It’s a slippery slope 😊
These pocketknives are such good value,there’s an excellent choice of traditional patterns and handle materials,the quality is way higher than their price point,the brand has really re ignited my knife collecting over the past year or two.👍

Anybody bought and used the Rough Ryders Scrimshaw Kit , if so some photos would be appreciated ?
Would have loved to try one of these out but these days my hand shakes too much !

This is one model Ive always fancied buying , firstly because of the coal miner connection with its etched blade and obvious black jigged handle to represent coal which was a large part of the industrial North East where Im from , and second because of its simple single blade lockback design and angled bolsters , a nice looking small pocket knife . I had the Amber jigged bone same model but ended up gifting it away to a friend before I really got into collecting Rough Ryders . I assume these are real bone scales ? as opposed to the Coal Miner work knife which I believe has man made scales ?
Did you get it from HH ?
Could be on my Xmas list .

I wish I hadn't opened this topic! It's going to cost me money!
Just as a test purchase a bought the little leg knife and am greatly impressed with the quality for such an inexpensive buy.
There are several knives that interest me and I think a Bow Trapper will be my next purchase.
Can't decide on red or black handle though - probably best to buy both!
 
It certainly is!
I finally decided on the black handled Bow Trapper and, instead of buying a red handled one as well, I succumbed to a Coal Miner Lockback instead.
Hiennie Haynes do have a lot to choose from but hopefully my addiction is cured for now.

which ones are you after Neale ? Im waiting for the RR Red pickbone peanut and possibly a smooth white bone Marlin spike.

In no particular order the pocketknives on my wish list at the moment are -

MR362 Marbles Rams Horn Large Toothpick
RR2622 Long Rifle 6 Blade
RR761 Coal Miner Lockback
RR1509 Rams Horn Trapper

Having said that knives go on and drop off the list regularly 🤪

Only got the 1509 Rams Horn bone trapper off that list which the more I see and handle it , the more it grows on me . It is a classy looking rendition of Rams Horn but it would be even better with the Marbles genuine horn.
