Get this ! I have a leftie FTP900, however, the cocking lever is still on the R/H side. Even if I forked out £3.5k for the latest XTI50, it would be no different. Yet..... I can purchase other rifles (AGT Uragan / Vulcan / Daystate) for example for a third / half of the price to be fully left hand compliant. Sorry.... but I don't get it 😕
Or...... maybe AA haven't any left hand world class shooters 🤪 or just can't be arsed with us cack handers.
Why so Angry Mike ?@

Statistics say there are around 10% to 12% left handers out there compared to right handed people. Is this also true for shooters?

With some rifles/stocks/cocking arms benefit right handed only are many left handers forcing themselves to shoot opposite way as it's easier to source equipment?

Other factors/physical abilities might mean need to switch hands too. Should more manufacturers make/take ambi-dextrous stocks/equipment into account more? Looking at you ftp900!!!!

As a lefthander noticed the scope spirit bubbles are most annoying mainly benefitting right handers....
My bother is left handed in nearly everything. What he cannot do is shoot left handed, even with a left handed stock. I think it has more to do with his dominant eye. He even shoots a pistol right handed.

Cross eye dominant like me possibly? (Right handed) I wasn’t gonna learn to shoot left handed it was too hard and way un natural, but it was a nightmare for pistol and shotgun shooting growing up.
Naturally just squint my left eye now to force the right to take over it’s all good. Weird thing is I can’t use glasses that shut off my left eye totally as it ruins my shooting 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think open of the reasons is that most of us lefties are taught by righties from a young age.
I’m the other way around, I’m right handed but my dad taught me gun safety and was left handed, subsequently I’ve always shot left handed. When I got into shotguns I realised I was left eye dominant anyway, resulting 👍

I'm left handed but right eye dominant so shoot right handed . When I did archery I shot my bows left handed . I think that was down to your dominant arm being stronger so it was easier to draw the bow and I shot instinctively so didn't use a sight

I'm naturally right handed, but left eye 👁️ dominant 🤣 so much so it would be impossible for me to shoot right handed & see anything at all!... when close range hunting I'm now learning the art of shooting with both eyes 👀 open .
