Hi,

I am pretty new to PCP's but this year I purchased a Kral Nish and I love it! This rather humble PCP is the rifle I had been waiting for as I thoroughly enjoy it and get good results. (I always had springers before) So, I am planning my next purchase in a few months time and wondered whether to stick with Kral or try the Edgar Brothers new EV2? Has anyone tried the new EV2?

By sticking with a Kral the magazines and charging equipment would be compatible but the EV2 looks amazing. I would appreciate your opinions on this, my budget is around £500 so sadly the Air Arms type of guns will be out of reach for now.

I’m a little biased as I like Kral and have a great rfd on my doorstep, I’d say get another Kral as your happy with the nish.
I think the Edgar stuff uses Kral mags and the fillers are the same so that’s a bonus if you do

Thanks 32! Thats good to know about the magazines! The Kral has astonished me so maybe your right I will show a bit of brand loyalty. They have the Mortal and NP03 which are similar to the EV

I like the np03
Nice and light with that adjustable buttstock make it a great little rifle 😎

Their made by Kuzey in Turkey and are regulated, I believe they come with a 3 year warranty as well from Edgar brothers , spare 3D printed magazines can be purchased from JCE 3D as well for £20.50 as they are slightly different from Kral and Reximex . I’ve seen them for £450 complete with the EB 3-12 x 50 optimate scope which I think is a bit of a bargain

They do sound good as well! Pity about the mags being different. For the money they do seem cheap, better than the Mortal which is £100 more expensive without the scope. Its good to have a choice as I like the type od stocks these guns use, reminds me of the SL, probably because of the pistol grip!

I've just been to my "local" gun shop to have a look around and discovered that they are closing down! It looks like Blackpool airguns will be my local from now on, I will check in the new year if they stock them.

Cant comment on the EV2 RS but i've had a go with the XV2 RS which is fairly similar and i cant say im a fan. HEAVY, HEAVY trigger and feels a bit clunky when you fire. Looks decent for a tactical style air rifle and build quality seems ok. Definitely needs a good mod as they are a bit too loud for my liking.

Zenduri thanks for this information, reviewers often gloss over this sort of detail and I often buy from Pellpax as there is no alternative so I rely on reading forums and Youtube to make a decision. I will bear the trigger and the noise in mind

I think your on about the first big bottle version which I believe isn’t regulated , I’m sure the trigger can be adjusted lighter if needed, the shroud is baffled but only about 2” worth so yes a silencer would be needed if hunting I would say or the shroud reworked with hair curlers/felt .

It was the regulated cylinder version. Maybe the trigger could be adjusted but if its coming out the factory that heavy by default then i dunno.

Well, late to the conversation but not late enough to not get my panties in a bunch over the overt use of the "EV2" monicker.. Like naming something "The sistine chapel", "Le Champs-Elysees"...:ROFLMAO:

I've got the Kral np03 and for the money I think there brilliant.1000000199.webp

Bit late to this but I have an EV2RS, regulated, accurate but not without fault. Mine is going back as it has a very, very, slow air leak. My main negative is the trigger, it is a bit close to the pistol grip for my liking. But for the money it is a good gun with a decent warranty.
