Just got a Wulf Hurricane

...I don't have shares in WULF scopes 😂... but I rave about them for the money they cost .
I have to admit I am a scope snob most of the time & i love my expensive glass but my experience with the newer 'Hurricane ' range is all good, I have the fantastic 3-10x40 hft pro on my taipan veteran...find me a better scope for £200!.
Just sold a 4-14x44 SFP.. hurricane as it was sat in a box not being used but that was also fantastic.

When I purchased the above two scoops I compared them to equivalent Hawke compacts in the shop & they were head & shoulders above in my eyes 👀 anyway!.

Yeah the free ones, just a bit too high for me.
I would have preferred the rail to fill the length of the dovetail, but forgot to measure it and I was away when I made the order and went cautious with 150mm, the 170mm probably would have been good looking at my picture
It look's like you have done all the hard work for me 😅 i agree the 170mm length rail would fill the dovetail also adding 25mm mounts would give enough clearance for barrel . As the Gamo Venari and my gamo coyote tactical both have adjustable
cheek piece's this would give plenty of adjustment thank you

The hurricane is nice. I have the lightening 30e as well.

I think the hurricane feels a bit nicer on the turrets etc but they both have nice glass.

I'll send you my invoice 😂

It's all learning process for me at the moment, mistakes will be made😅

Well I've definitely landed in the right place with buying blind scope purchase it seems👍🏻

I've got a Wulf Scope and been extremely pleased with it.

In addition I had cause to telephone Wulf with a query; they were very helpful and friendly, and sent me out something FOC that arrived the following day. Great customer service that is likely to generate repeat business.

I bought the Hurricane Compact 4-14 x 44 to go on my Katran SC I liked it so much I bought another from the sales section on here last week to go on my Prosport, great scopes

Good to know if I ever need some help from them 👍🏻

I had a look through a Lightning at the Shooting show and was impressed by the glass at that price point, so much so that I've since bought a Defender 30 model with ED glass. I can't fault it so far.

The new mounts arrived, I got a set of Element Optics medium which are 25mm instead of the previous 32mm on the other mounts, definitely more comfortable for me.

I just took delivery of a Wulf Hurricane 6.5-25x50 scope. It's going on Gamo Venari that should arrive later today.

I've been away from air guns for about 15 years, so I'm not too clued up on the latest stuff, but hopefully I made a good choice on a budget, £116 seems decent for what you get?

I have Wulf Fireballs on all but one of my rifles (that one has a Konus Fighter on it) - even have a Wulf (rebranded chinese) Compressor for my PCP's... turning into a Wulf fanboy. Im sure there are better scopes but for the price they do me just fine.

They do seem to put out some good stuff, I was hesitant at first seeing the Fireball popping up at those cheaper prices, thinking is it just another random cheapish scope, but it's all just good kit for money and performs above it's price point from what I'm seeing 👍🏻

I've spent a little while getting everything lined up and it's sitting nicely now, eyes closed, cheek on the riser where it's comfortable and natural, open right eye and it's bang on.
I might actually fire some pellets out of this thing at the weekend!

How thick are the cross hairs typically on the cheaper wulfs ? I like my c3 vector optics but want to try a bigger wulf like a 44

Cheap for wulfs (e.g fireball) or cheap compared to expensive scopes?

The lighting 30e has an etched reticle. It's pretty average for a SFP scope I would say.

The cheaper ones like the fireball and lightening 7-25x44 aren't etched (I assume) and are a little thicker, but normal for that type of reticle.

Cheaper as in the £50-£150 realm . I can only compare them to the vector optic scopes of which I have had a c3 and a sentinel with decent cross hair sizes but had a 4-16x44 vector or similar that had really good reviews but really thick reticles. Seen some say the smaller wulf ones had thick reticles as well.

I don't know the vector scopes I'm afraid. I don't think the reticles in wulfs are out the ordinary one way or the other. They're thicker in cheaper ones like the fireball and a bit thinner in the etched ones (hurricane etc).

To be honest there's something to be said for a simple half mil dot reticle!
