So a bit of a story around this one.... I originally purchased a mk1 HW 77 from the old UKGF with the idea of refurbing and giving to my stepdad for his 60th Birthday....
Life got in the way and the 77 stayed in the back of the safe, completly forgotten about until last year....
Fast forward to his recent 70th Birthday and i finally presented him with the completly refurbished 77, bluing done, refinished stock and the internals all polished and taken care of with a TBT kit from many moons ago!
I was a very special moment to give somthing back to the man who taught me to shoot 30 years ago with a single barrel .410 and a rusty cometa .22. and doing the work myself made it even more so. I wanted to go back to how we used to shoot so no scopes allowed and it took me bloody ages to find the original rear sight!!
I had a bash at making a presentation box too.... carpentry is definitly not my strong point as you can see! Anyway - thought i would share with you all - cant wait to start my next project!
