Issue with a jamming? New to me s410

Looking for some advice, if people are able.

Picked up a second hand S410 on Saturday, tried shooting with it yesterday and today. The cocking lever keeps being stuck 1/2 way with about 1/2” movement. The magazine has rotated (posibibly not all the way), I have two magazines and it happens with both.

If I point the gun to the floor and shake the gun around eventually I can get the leaver all the way forwards.

Is this a known thing? Are we doing something wrong, the mechanism warn or do I need to take it back to the shop. Don’t want to go back, to be told it’s me . . .

If worth anything I’ve attached a video of the leaver when it’s “stuck”

It's possible the magazine is not being indexed fully to bring the next pellet into the right position for the probe to then push the pellet into the breech ?
Depending on what type of indexing post that is fitted old or new type.
Maybe the thin strip on the indexing post is a) broken, or b) bent on older type post.

Pull the cocking bolt fully back and remove magazine (make sure there isn't a pellet up the spout)
Then without the magazine in, look for any damage to indexing post and to see if post is moving its full amount each time you cock it.

The curved strip of metal on the post in pic one can sometimes fatigue and break off, or it may need adjusting by gently easing out a smidging.

Losen the screws that hold the side plate on for the index mechanism and see if it still jams.

The side plate which holds the mechanism to rotate and index the magazine needs to be cleaned and lubed periodically

As above, the indexing post needs replacing.

Have you tried it without the mag in, if that's ok, then the indexer might not be doing its job, or you might need to loosen the 2 screws on the mag retaining clip, pull bolt back, put mag in, push bolt back home again and retighten the mag clip. Rog

I'd go with the mag indexing post.
Cheap to buy the new type and easy to replace

Thanks for all the help guys, just got back form the shop. the forward? seal had failed and was the root of all the issues.

They have replaced the seal, and it's like a different gun . . .
