Anybody used a VR shotgun for training? The headset, stock and game add up to quite a bit, so dont want to be wasting money. I would think the lack of recoil would make it pretty usesless?
Hi Gers32, you are so right if your sighter is rubbish then so are you! All this is built out of trust. I have met many chaps who simply can not sight! Blessings. CSW.I had exactly the same experience on a high tower at Northampton @C S W . Missed every single one and a local lad behind said "double it". So next time I did and centred them, but it was a heck of a way in front. Once shot a stand of a distant crossing pair and aiming for the front one (maintained lead) hit the one 2 metres behind it. But you need to be confident of whoever is giving you feedback, because I saw someone telling a novice he was behind a following single fast crosser down in a gully when he was in fact in front. He continued to tell him he was still behind it and the poor chap ended up perhaps 10 metres in front on the last pair!
Back to the VR shotgun. Perhaps great fun for someone who hasn't actually done any shooting, but of no practical value otherwise in my opinion. Maybe spend the money on proper coaching?
