Introducing the New Reximex Mini - Mito

From an idea I've had for a while, and with a lot of help from (the brilliant) Hal, I present to you the Mini-Mito! A full 55mm shorter than the common-or-garden version, it doesn’t have a great shot count but it looks super cool

It makes the standard Mito (pic at bottom) look like a cannon!
I’m going to play with it for a while then I’ll strip it down and get it Cerakoted and fit some pretty 1911 grips.

I've said this before, we need a fill port mechanism that allows you to offer a pistol up to a stand, pull it down to get a regulated fill, then lift and carry on shooting.
It would only need to cover say two mags with a bit of headroom, or even just one, if the mechanism is quick enough.

Looks miles, miles better. That version of the Mito, with 1911 style grip just looks wrong to me. It looks perfect now.

But... You can go shorter... A snub nose version

I love the idea of going through the insanely complex exercise of shortening a mito only to add a moderator lol

Great looking mod on the pistol , if it was me I would be thinking of shortening the trigger blade and possibly flattening the trigger guard out a bit , but that’s me .

Modifying the trigger guard is on the list…

Think if it had a second cylinder in the grip (NP02 style) it might be able to do 50+ which is a nice figure, not that 30 is particularly bad.
As this is not going to be a hunting tool, the power could be dropped to 4fpe, to claw back some shot count.

30 shots is really good. I've never tinkered with one of these. But I'd bet that with a larger TP and lower reg pressure that could be increased a bit.

I'm surprised someone was prepared to cut the cylinder down and re-thread. I've had project in mind but expected no one would be prepared to take the risk messing with a high pressure part for a one off.

The engineer that did this has a fantastic reputation on this forum, and as long as the job’s done properly it’s perfectly safe.
