Hey Tim, what’s that riser you’re using mate?
Your 97 looks ace in the CS stock, I have the same for my TX.

Looks ace Tim. Likey likey.Just a dovetail to picatinny converter so I could use the adjustable 34mm mounts i already had![]()
Which, if any, was better? I nearly bought one in .20 but left it too long and it eventually sold.I used to have a 97 in .20 cal, lovely gun. Then like a plonker I sold it!
Still, went out and got another in .177,![]()
Difficult to say since I couldn`t compare them side by side but I think the .177 had the edge.Which, if any, was better? I nearly bought one in .20 but left it too long and it eventually sold.
What's not to like,Stunning.
As i said i had a 77 in .177and have a 97 in .20. They are similar very similar.Which, if any, was better? I nearly bought one in .20 but left it too long and it eventually sold.
The 97K is the short barrel. Not sure I have seen a long barreled 97 unlike the 77 which does.Am on the look out for a used one now
If it’s a k is that the shorter barrel and is it a working mod on the end if not is end of barrel threaded
Definitely says more about my lack of springer shooting skills than the calibers, but I’m a better shot with a 97 in .20 than in .177.
I find the .20 almost as smooth as a .22 to shoot but with a flatter trajectory.
When I’ve shot a .177 97, I’ve struggled due to the perceived snappy shot cycle.
So, is this a fair conclusion……keep the .20 AND buy a .177 97, to improve my shooting (that my excuse for another gun & I’m sticking to it)
Well, that could be perceived a being just greedy Ray....

I think you have possibly got some thing with the .20 in 97, t have shot a .177 owned a 77 .177 and this .20 does seem very sweet to shoot . I just put it down to the Individual rifle more than the .20 aspect but now you mention it.I find the .20 almost as smooth as a .22 to shoot but with a flatter trajectory.

We are throwing enough good luck around here how could this not flourish i ask you.
@om606 I’ll take a leaf out of your book, branch out to grow my collection with a .25 to watch my skills blossom![]()
