Apologies for hijacking the thread but where is the best place to buy a .22 barrel? I've a HW45 in .177 and all this talk has got me curious...
Maybe not. Looking at the Weihrauch database it would appear the .177’s sell twice as many as those in .22.Thanks for the feedback very helpful, so as suspected most use 22.

What tuning kits do people use or is it ok out the box?

Or there is the excellent Wanted facility on here. It worked for me as did the Swap section.Knibbs, and Bagnall & Kirkwood both stock barrels but they'll need an RFD transfer unless you're within driving distance. Most RFDs should be willing to order you one in.
Holding tight i always thought not to tight?I have both .22 and .177 I feel the .22 does not seem as harsh on recoil as the .177, just my opinion, but either calibre they will be great to shoot once you get the knack of not holding it tight
I agree someone must of made 25 barrel in the past?A 45 is .25 caliber would sell in bucketloads I think
Ultimate 6ft lb air pistol surely
I know there are PCP's and maybe even C02 guns doing the full 6 ft/lb but a 45 in .25 would be the pick of the bunch surely
A whole generation of grown men would suddenly go back to blasting tin cans!
Great tips there cheersI have two hw45s
.177 blackstar - quite a snappy pistol, which you should shoot free hand best with a light hold with elbow resting on stable surface
.22 standard- all as above with but softer to shoot, I once split a tin can in two after approx 250 pellets at 20m
If you get one break in with two tins of pellets before deciding about accuracy, use light pellets and these pistols have to be mastered, there is the option on using half power to get used to it - but worth it good
Thanks for that do you have a link for the red piston seal please? It's very lively out of the box. They're massively over sprung & the piston seal isn't efficient in the slightest, it's just a solid lump of plastic.
I fitted a TbT kit & an Aussie red piston seal, I managed to take 2 or 3 coils off the spring and still keep the same power. Accuracy improved, recoil & cocking effort were noticeably lowered.
Im probably going to order a few barrels with my RFD so will possibly have for sale in the near futureApologies for hijacking the thread but where is the best place to buy a .22 barrel? I've a HW45 in .177 and all this talk has got me curious...
You are going to have to get your post count up first.Im probably going to order a few barrels with my RFD so will possibly have for sale in the near future
i am a bit tempted swop my .22 barrel onto my .177 blackstarGot the Blackstar in .22 (lovin' it) but then ALL my guns are .22 ! Oh, except for a couple of vintage Webley pistols.

Snap!! My .177 blackstar loves R10sI’ve got a .177 Blackstar and with some patience and practice they are excellent. Plenty accurate and powerful but as I said , they take a while to master ( if you ever really do)View attachment 184251
