I've got a little HW30 i like to shoot with the crease of my finger but not got the longest fingers so need to get a setback trigger blade.

Are there any disadvantages to the rowan extra setback compared with the standard setback blade?

One thing about Rowan triggers is there top quality not cheap but I guess you pay for what you get

Yes, I've found the extra does quite a good job of blocking access to the adjuster screw.
They can be a pain for this and the unit can require some work to function properly with one.

Warren Edwards, or White knee on eBay will both give you a quality blade that isn't a hassle to fit.

I have fitted a couple of Rowan extra set back triggers to 2 hw99s and one to an hw30. They were easy enough to fit (each took 20 minutes or so) with a bit of care, and the feel of the setback trigger was just as good as on the original.

The only downside is they allow for less adjustment of the rear screw than the original, but I was still able to get exactly the feel on the trigger that I wanted.

Don't need it, my hands are very long and wide. Apish. And my toes are so long I could almost hang from a branch. I love bananas.
Anyway, I consider the slot in the Rowan shortened trigger screw to be sloppy. I've made short replacements for a guy with much nicer narrower slots. Not a fan of brass bling that turns green either. Is that another primate trait? 🤷‍♂️

I don't have an HW30 but have the Warren Edwards brass setbacks on my HW99 & HW57 in the standard stocks. They are perfect, and a bit cheaper than Rowans. Got straight setback Rowans on my HW97k synthetic and my other HW99 in a CS500 stock. Again, feel good but those stocks don't need as much setback.
