A proposal for licensing.

A software company has come up with the solution to the UK’s gun licensing woes. It will clear the backlog, it will mean the government won’t have to push through a law putting shotguns on FACs, nor require shooters to call the police before they buy a gun. It’s the brainchild of @rightgun

If you watch the latest video on the Channel ,Martin from BASC speaks about the NFLMS. Can't link to it due to dead stuff.

The video with Layla that charlie mentions .

There is also a new tender out for the NFLMS .

So I wonder if the estimated £17m cost will also be lumped onto the shooters fees under ‘full cost recovery’…

In the other tender it was 20m in 2022.

First reported in The Register, the pre-procurement notice will start the process of replacing the National Firearms Licence Management System (NFLMS). The Home Office is expecting to pay up to £20 million for a new system, with the plan being for it to be in place within five years.

it will be the tax payer paying which the public and so it should be as its for public safety plus us shooters.

Anything that makes their lives easier seems sensible to me.

Anything that makes it easier for the public to get firearms- or apply on a whim- seems unlikely they will go for it.
