Well, I went for it in the end.

BSA R10 Mk2 TH Super Carbine, .177, Black Pepper Laminate…

Hope it shoots as good as it looks !

Not keen on the Thumbhole stock or the nasty ‘soft touch’ on the cheek riser, but it is a LH bolt action so I couldn’t let it pass me by.

Immaculate condition. Had held full pressure for the past 4 months.

Came with BSA sling, bi-pod, Hawke 4-12 x 50 AO scope (Airmax ?), 280cc bottle, hard case, 2 magazines, 2 tins of AA Field Target pellets.

The shop was asking £1050, I got them down to a more reasonable £850. I know, it’s still over the odds but it’s a Leftie bolt action and they don’t come up very often.

Now, just need the rain to stop then I can get some lead down that super carbine 12” barrel. Never had a super carbine before, wonder if I will notice much drop off in accuracy ?

What are the things I should be doing with a new SH rifle in terms of cleaning, preserving, checking etc ?

P.S. That’s not mould in the corner of the wall, it’s the image editing artefacts left over from me erasing an ugly telephone socket out of the picture.
